Slurred Words

Another suicide attempt....Comment me Please!!
As she stood looking in the mirror
There was only one thing she could see
Someone everyone hated
Something she never wanted to be

There were some different options
to end her life
she looked in the drawers
then took out some pills and a knife

Walking into the bedroom
She shut and locked the door
threw the stuff on her bed
and then sat in the floor

All those times
when she had been screamed at and hit
Wondering why she never fought back
and just took all that shit

Only two people understand her
but she hasn’t heard from them
she knows she did something wrong
but just couldn’t figure out what it had been

Giving it one more chance she called him
his mom answered and said he wasn’t there
Then she called her friend
no answer, it was something she couldn’t bare

she sat the phone on the bed
exchanging it for the bottle of pills
she swallowed all that were in it
then sat back and hoped that it kills

But then she remembered
doctors can bring the pills back up
so she grabbed the knife
and knew she had to cut

pressing the blade deep within her skin
she felt nothing at all
though when she threw down the knife
she saw the blood start to fall

Then the phone rang
It was a familiar ringtone she could hear
She quickly picked it up
and put it to her ear

It was him and he said sorry
He had been working alot but was on his way there
She started to cry
and asked how could this be, its not fair

He asked what was wrong
but as she was telling him her words started to slur
She got light headed
and everything became a blur

At some point she dropped the phone
It felt like forever before he busted in the door
then others started rushing in
at least a dozen more

When she opened her eyes
The nurse told her she would have died
if it hadn’t been for the thoughtful guy
That was now standing at her side

He took her by the hand
And looked deep into her eyes
after stealing a kiss he told her
He wasn’t ready to say his goodbyes
