Slow Cooker Recipes
Come home to a kitchen that smells simply delicious and dinner that is ready to be served. It’s like hiring your very own personal chef! Here are a few interesting recipes to make your slow cooking dreams come alive!
There are days when I have just so much work to do, but I’d rather spend all of my time with my little boy instead of cooking a meal. Quite an arduous job it is – cooking!
Slow cooker recipes are just about everywhere, and to keep your search as simple as possible all you have to do is go online. The most popular slow cooker recipes are the stew ones, but most recipes have similar ingredients. The problem with me is that I don’t really like onions, and when a slow cooker recipe calls for it, I just wont make it. My husband thinks I’m just being silly, but I cant stand having onions in my slow cooker recipes. Unfortunately, this choosiness of mine cuts down my options considerably.
But, if you are not as choosy as I am, then you probably wont have any problems finding some of the best slow cooker recipes ever. For the best part, all you have to do is put the ingredients in your slow cooker, turn it on, and then let it go on all day – that’s convenience for you. You don’t even have to stir. What’s more, you can even find some of the best recipes in your local grocery store too!
I might probably have to make do with slow cooker recipes that can be altered.

Roast Slow Cooker Chicken
This cook can be assembled for your mid-day meal and can also be served for a great home cooked meal in the same evening. Serve with dinner rolls and a nice salad.
Ingredients:
- 1 chicken, cut into pieces for frying.
- 1 onion, cut into small cubes.
- 1 can of chicken broth.
- 1 cup of carrots, sliced.
- 2 medium sized red potatoes, washed and then cut into cubes.
- 4 stalks of celery cut into chunks.
Remove the chicken skin from the pieces and then rinse them properly. Pat the chicken pieces dry. Layer the onions on the bottom of the crockpot style slow cooker. Add the chicken pieces and then pour the chicken broth over it. Cover the cooker and cook on low heat for about 6 hours. If you want to, then you can thicken the chicken broth and use it for the gravy or you could save it for soup.
However, remember that if you are using any kind of high water kind vegetables like celery, then it would be wise to wait till the last hour and then add this vegetable into your slow cooker.
