Sleep For Teens

Life can't always be fair, can it?
It's no wonder kids hardly get enough sleep these days. Studies show that about 5.5 to 6.5 hours are scheduled in a teens day. I think it's partly because of homework, sports, other activates slowing them down on even having enough time for a good nights rest. It is good although to be involved in other activities, but however, if you're in bed by about 10 or 10:30 you'll still have a good 8 to 9 hours in.... Which is fantastic.

A Washington school, starts their day by hitting the books at 2:30 PM, to 9:00 At night. The only school in the states which does that. Other schools have cut back by a few minutes or so, to give kids a few extra minutes to sleep, which is what kids need these days.

I know how some teens think going to bed by 10 to 10:30 is a SMART idea. It still gives them enough time to sleep for the night, and they'll still be ready to go in the morning....

Just remember how important sleeping is, and if you plan on taking a nap during the day/afternoon, keep in mind to limit your naps to 15-20 min. which could also be called, cat naps or power naps. They get you energized for the rest of the day... But if you sleep too long you won't be able to sleep that night, because it might mess up your sleeping time.
