Sleep Habits Affect Dark Circles Under Eyes

Do you ever get those dark circles under the eyes? They are awful, and make you look like you didn't get an ounce of sleep the night before. Dark circles can affect the way people look at you and even pass judgment. The last thing you want to roll into a board meeting with is dark circles under the eyes. Getting sleep can drastically reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eyes.
Dark circles under the eyes are a trait nobody likes to have. They are a sign of aging, but more than anything, they are a trait that can be stopped and attacked from the way you sleep.

Your sleep habits have a big affect on your body. More than anything, they affect your eyes. Dark circles form under the eyes due to poor sleeping habits. These are also called "eye bags" and "puffy eyes" by some people. At the end of the day, call them what you want, they are downright ugly.

The under-eye area stores fat. This fat is held together by ligaments. These ligaments weaken as we age. At night, the amount of circulation in that area goes down, and this area starts changing colors. This is why a lack of sleep really causes dark circles.

Other causes are drinking too much and genetics. In the case of genetics, you just have to chalk this one up to your parents and their parents, and take it in stride. But in the end, if you sleep well and stay hydrated, you should be doing okay in reducing the appearance of dark circles under the eyes.
