Sky High Dreams - Chapter 2

It was a Friday, she remembered coz the kids at school were excited about the weekend... It was pouring heavily. Larissa was already warming up to the rain. She loved soaking to her bones in rain, and when she was dripping wet, you cannot look away from her. When her wet clothes clung to her, accentuating her curves while her cheek turned a moist pink and her wavy hair glistened in rain, you would think she was the reincarnation of Goddess of Dawn. She took her bags and made her way down the stairs. On the football field, her friends called out to her. She smiled and dropped her bags and went to them. She ran in the rain, trying to see through the sheets of rain.. then suddenly she skidded in the muddy puddle and fell onto the guy who was walking by. They fell into the puddle, soaking in the rain.

Her linen top got hooked to his beige pull over. She fell on his face, her lips tracing its outline on his. He locked his firmly around hers...then, life ceased to exist. One minute- no movements, no people, not even her rain.. She looked dreamily into his eyes which seemed to hide dark secrets, knowing eyes.. and at that moment, she knew she had seen the one. She knew he was hers and hers alone. Strangely he didn't shove her off him and seemed to be as intrigued as her, well intrigued was hardly the word, fascinated seemed more like it. He brought his mouth to her lips again and gently pulled it to him. She turned scarlet which was going to be a tradition in making that she will know soon. She pulled herself up and cast her eyes down.

"Am .. sorry, I didn't .. I couldn't.. see through the rain."
"How convenient for me!" He laughed easily and his voice was so beautifully deep. Hmmm, "He said picking himself up "Not everyday you get something like that.. do you?" His lips eased into a crooked smile which was dazzling. She could only stare at him open mouthed like an idiot. He looked into her eyes and lingered there. He laughed and waved his hands in front of her.

"Hello, back to the earth beautiful?"
"Oh..umm, sorry, I was miles away." She blushed again.
"Evidently. Then again, not everyday you get a mindblowing kiss like that do you?" He grinned unrepentantly, taunting her.

Getting hot immediately, she squeaked, " HEYY! It was a mistake. Okayy? I couldn't see!"
"Didn't think so, I thought it was more like you'd been scheming to trap me with that sexy lips of yours for ages."
"Huh.. IN your dreams." She retorted, still feeling all dreamy.
"Aw, come on hun, don't be like that. We just got off to a touchy start." He winked at her.
"Whatever, I gotta go."
"Excuse me, But am new to school. Can you help me with the directions."
"Hmm sure, where."
"Your place." He grinned.
"You're SUCH a jerk." She tried to stomp off in the other direction and almost slipped again. Luckily, he caught her and smirked, "Hey doll, It works only once. You can't expect to get a kiss so soon!"

She looked at him agape. "YOU.. You're a stupid arrogant flirt." She paused, "And a JERK."
She walked away, swiftly but carefully, just in case she slipped again. Now that would be humiliating.
He just kept looking at her, amused. And then he smiled..

"Maybe school won't be soo boring, after all." He told himself, still feeling the warmth of lips, the faint smell of her musky rain tinged scent that was just so appealing. He licked his lips again, tasting the cherry chapstick that still stuck to the corners of his mouth thinking "NOT at all."

Sorry if the chapter's short. I'm kind of not sure right now of the central theme. I'm just going with the flow, Please post your comments, it doesn't matter if you like it or not. Just let me know if I can improve myself. I'm sort of new to this and I want to know how well it goes.. So unless I'm getting a substantial number of comments, I'll put this story on hold. Thank you.
