Before you start with skin tags home removal, you have to make sure that the growth is a skin tag and not something else. In most cases, skin tags do not grow more than half an inch and will have a color, which is similar or darker to the skin color of the affected person. They will be soft and movable too. Once, you are sure that the growth on your skin is a skin tag, you can try any of the following skin tags home remedies.
  • One of the common method to remove skin tags is by hindering blood supply to the growth. This can be done by tying a thread tightly around the skin tag and it is left like that for several days, till the skin tag falls off. This method is effective in removing skin tags.
  • Another skin tags home remedy is nail polish, which has to be applied over the skin tag. The non-porous coating deprives the skin tag of oxygen and it falls off within a few days.

  • You can also use a band aid (liquid bandage) or duct tape to seal the skin tag tightly. By this method, it will take around ten days to remove skin tags.
  • Potato can also be used to remove skin tags. Bind a slice of potato to the skin tag in a tight manner. Keep it for a few days, till the skin tags turn black and fall off. You may replace potato with garlic too.
  • Skin tags home remedies include apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil. Apply any of it over the skin tag with the help of a cotton ball and leave the cotton ball over the skin tag for two to three hours. Repeat this process for a few days, till the skin tag falls off.
