Ski Trip 9!

Last one? I don't know.......:D comments=more.
After I told Trent, he immediately fell asleep and I went back into my room. Nothing eventful happened the rest of the night. Parvati and Danny went out and never came back. I fell asleep at like, midnight, and heard Trent creep into the room not long after.
I woke up in the middle of the night to go downstairs and get something, but when I reached the landing, I forgot what it was. I was going back up the stairs when I tripped and fell back down. I rubbed a spot on my back that would be a bruise tomorrow when Seth came out of his room and leaned over the railing.
"Are you okay? I heard something." he raced over to my side and pulled me up.
"I’m fine. Just tripped. I was getting a glass of water." I lied.
"Oh, fine. Goodnight." he went back into the his room and I went back into mine. Why did he have to make things so damn complicated? I just wanted to have him give me a hug, anything! Was it too much to ask? Jeez.
I fell back asleep without ever remembering what it was that I got up to get.
When I woke up the next morning, Trent was still in bed. I went downstairs and poured myself a cup of coffee. There was a note on top of it.

Hey, Sam.
I already left for the slopes. Parvati and Danny moved out last night. Whatever you guys talked to each other about it pissed her off. It doesn’t look like they are coming back.
Anyway, Shane came by this morning before I left but you were still in bed. I left his cell number with you. He wanted you to call it. I’ll see you later tonight. I got a day date, so I’ll see you later. Bye.

I got the cell number off of the note and called it.
"Hey! I was wondering if you would ever wake up from the dead." he said. He must’ve known that it was me.
"Yeah, but only long enough to get ready for tonight." I smiled.
"I bet. What are you doing? I’m in the lodge with my friends. You wanna meet some of them before tonight?"
"Sure, after I get ready, haha. Just in the lobby?"
"Yup, big chairs by the fireplace. See you here." I could hear him smiling and said okay. I hung up, got dressed pretty quickly and hurried to the lodge.
I didn’t dress up in really warm clothes since we were just hanging out in the lodge. Or so I thought.
"Hey, here she is! Let’s go snow-moiling!" Shane yelled as soon as he saw me. He smiled and waved and I headed over to the group. His two friends looked kinda like he did, but except with blonde hair and not brown. They all had blue eyes, and his friends were standing with girls.
"Hey, so this is the mysterious girl we’ve been waiting on forever." One guy winked, coming over to me. The girl that was standing by his side, followed.
"Yup, this is her. Guys, and gals, meet Sam. She’s going with us today." They all kind of smiled and I did the same. The one that had come over was introduced as Ace and the other one who had not said a thing was named Kale. The two girls were introduced by their guys as Shelby and Riley. Riley didn’t even acknowledge my presence, but Shelby smiled at me and we ended up talking to each other while the guys got the mobiles rented out. Riley just stood off to the side, texting some friends.
"I wouldn’t worry about her, she’s just jealous that you got Shane and not her. She’s my sister. We originally met these three guys on the mountain, she started to hit on Shane but he said he had already found somebody."
"Really?" I asked, sounding a little too excited. Was he talking about me?
"That’s what he said. Oh, here they come." The guys came back, and Ace immediately put his arm around Shelby waist and she started to glow. Kale tried to grab Riley’s hand in between text messages, but she didn’t let him. I felt sorry for him. I bet he was a good guy.
"All right, they are out back. I got three." Shane announced. As we were walking back there he nosed his way so that his lips were on my neck and whispered, "I call you." Shivers went down my spine, and I tried to hide them. Come on, Sam! You’re in love with Seth! You have been since day one. Right? Of course, Shane is just a guy to get him off your mind until he and Kelsey break up. I smiled to myself and ran to catch up with the others. The guys got to drive, so all of the girls sat in back, legs on top of theirs, hands around their waists. I screamed as Shane excelled and so did Shelby and I think I heard Riley crack a laugh when they finally left the lot.
After about 10 minutes on board, I started to shiver. I was only wearing two sweatshirts with no overcoat. I was scared that I was going to get hypothermia again, and was so deep in thought that I didn’t notice when we stopped at a clearing in the trees.
"Hey." I was still on the snowmobile, staring off into space. "You okay?" I snapped back to reality, and looked into his eyes,
"Yeah, of course. Of course I am." I got off and joined the other 4 at the drop-off. We were at a place where no one had come, the snow was fresh and I had an urge to just run through it.
Shane came up behind me and put his arms around me.
"Hey, Sam?" I turned around to face him.
"Yeah?"
"This might be the wrong time to ask you, but do you want to go out with me?"
