Ski Trip 3!
What you have been waiting for:]
I woke up after Parvati the next morning. The door to the hotel room was open and she was standing at the mirror, doing her hair. When I grunted while stretching, she turned around and looked at me.
"Hey. Morning." she turned back to the mirror, and I made an attempt to get out of bed to take my shower.
"Come on! Hurry up, guys! We need to be out of here in 15 minutes!" I froze in my tracks and turned around to see Trent.
"I-I just woke up though. I have to take a shower."
"It better be a quick one. It’s seven."
"You people get up too damn early." I mumbled, heading to the bathroom.
I heard Parvati smirk at my comment before I shut the door. I took a very very quick shower because the water was freezing!
I dried my hair as much as possible, at the same time, trying to get my things together. Since we only stayed one night, there was not much to pack back up. Everybody else’s stuff was in the car already, and mine was last.
"Before we hit the road, does anybody else need anything?" Danny asked, Parvati snuggling up next to his side.
"Yeah, I gotta pee. Hold on." Seth handed me his phone and ran back into the hotel room. Not even 10 seconds after he was gone, his phone rang. It was somebody named Kelsey. I picked it up.
"Hey, Seth’s phone." I said, Trent laughed.
"Yeah, hi. Who is this?" Shit. It was his girlfriend. Whoops.
"Uh- this is Sam. I’m Seth’s best friend’s sister. He’s on the ski trip with me." I tried to explain.
"Right. That dumb thing. Uh- tell him that he better call me." Click. I held the phone away from my ear like it was yelling at me.
Trent and company looked at me with an innocent look as Seth came back out.
"Hi. Uh- Kelsey called. She wants to talk to you." I handed him his phone back.
"Oh- uh, er, I’ll call her back later. We got a long drive." I took my place in the front seat, Danny and Parvati in the back again. Trent and Seth were outside talking.
"Come on, guys!" I tapped my wrist and they got the message. Seth got in the drivers’ seat, and Trent sat in the back.
"I’m gonna drive, that okay?" Seth asked me. I looked at him, it was the first time I had really looked at him all morning. His hair was tousled, still a little wet, and barely brushed. He had on a shirt that I could barely outline, then an American Eagle sweatshirt. He had on some tight-fitting jeans, but not too tight. They were just right. "Sam?"
"Oh, sorry!" I brought my eyes up to meet his again. "Sure, that’s fine." I blushed and looked out of the window as Seth backed up and got back onto the highway that would take us to the ski lodge.
It was a long car ride to the lodge that consisted of yelling, crying, kissing, and a ton of other stuff. As you can guess, Danny & Parvati were the kissing couple. Trent yelled at Seth for missing the exit off the interstate. And I cried when I slammed my finger in the car door. Okay, I’m not a baby, it was just one tear, but we did have to stop somewhere and get a cup of ice.
The best news though? We got there at 12:30 and it was beautiful! The slops were covered with a fresh blanket of snow, and although it was freezing, I loved it! I somehow knew that I was gonna have fun on this trip.
Seth volunteered to check us in, while Trent drove us to the lodge so that we could unpack. The first thing me and Parvati did was run into the house to pick our room out. Then, she told me the news.
"Listen, Sam, I really should have told you earlier, but me and Danny are rooming together. We thought that since we are never alone and everything, that this could be our chance to, you know, get closer. I’m very sorry." she looked at me with pleading eyes, and I knew that she was. Parvati wouldn’t stop being my roommate unless she really loved this kid.
"Okay. That’s fine." I smiled, and she jumped me.
"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!" she screamed. Then she ran out to tell Danny the good news, and I could hear her squeal with excitement. I was excited for getting my own room, then paused. There were only 3 rooms. I would have to stay with Seth or Trent. Of course, it would be easier to share with Trent cause he was my brother, but deep down inside, I wanted to room with Seth.
