Ski Trip 13!

I'm sorry if it's so short......
I woke up to see Seth’s parents huddled over Seth’s bed. He was awake, and they looked happy to see him.
"Oh, hey, you’re up." I looked up, expecting to see Shane, but instead I saw Trent.
"Mmm, where’s Shane?"
"He went home. And guess what?" I was about to say what when Seth’s parents came out of the room.
"It’s my turn?"
"Yes." I got up and slowly made my way to the door. I turned the knob, and sighed when I saw Seth smiling.
"Hey. How are you?" I made my way over to his bed and sat in the chair next to it, resting my elbows on the side of the bed.
"Better, my stomachs killing me though. They told me I broke a couple of ribs." I saw him scrunch up his face as he tried to sit up. "Ow!" he yelped, finally laying back down.
I looked at him with my saddest face. I hated to see people in pain.
"Excuse me." A nurse poked her head in. "We gotta take you to X-Rays, sweetheart. Say goodbye. You can see her in a little while."
"Okay." He turned toward me. "I’ll see you around lunch. Bye." he whispered, kissing me on the cheek. I let a tear drop as I watched the nurse wheel him down the hallway.
I turned around and saw Shane heading toward me.
"Hey, baby. Sorry I left, but I had to get home. Are you okay?" he took me into his arms and I collapsed. I was so tired from last night, sleeping in a waiting room was not the most ideal place.
"I’m just tired, I need a shower, and my back hurts from sleeping on that damn chair." he cracked a smile and led me down to the end of the hallway where there was floor-to-ceiling windows, giving us a look at the sun now pretty high in the sky.
"Well, why don’t you go home? Seth went to get X-Rays anyway, he’ll be fine."
"No, I-I better stay here.’
"Sam, come on." I looked into his eyes, and I could tell that he really wanted me to go. "You really need to go home. I promise he’ll be fine. His parents are here, Trent will be here and I’m sure he will call you if anything happens. Sam.." he voice trailed off, and I finally gave in.
"Fine. Can you drive me?"
"Of course, come on." he took my hand and led me over to Trent. I was standing there, but I couldn’t hear them. It’s like I was on autopilot. I felt awful, I had a headache, and I wanted to go home so bad. I was sick of the hospital.
"Let’s go." We walked to the elevator and went downstairs. I had him drag me to the car since I didn’t know where it was and he drove me home.
I told him he could wait on the couch if he wanted, that I wouldn’t be long and that as soon as I had taken a shower we could leave again. He wanted me to stay, but I talked him into driving me back.
I wanted to take a quick shower, but once the hot water hit my back, I breathed in deeply and ended up staying in there a good 30 minutes. I came out, dressed in nothing but some raggedy clothes and found Shane passed out on the couch. I went over, laid next to him, and rubbed his back. I twirled my fingers around his hair and kissed his forehead.
"Hey." he shifted a little as he woke up. "You smell good."
"Thanks. I’m sorry I took so long."
"Don’t worry ‘bout it. You’re fine." he took me into his arms and pulled me close to him. It wasn’t too long after that when I ended up falling asleep.
