Ski Trip 12!

I tried to make this one longer, sorry about the wait!!
"Uh oh." I said, heading over to the front window, watching Seth peel off down the road. He was going kind of fast for it being snowy outside, but I didn’t watch him any longer, because suddenly Shane pulled me away from the window and dragged me over to where Shelby and Ace were standing. He put his arm around my waist, and Shelby whispered something in Ace’s ear, and soon after, they left. Shane and I danced to a couple of numbers and finally sat down. We talked over a couple rounds of Root Beer. The lodge was about to close and everyone was beginning to leave for the night.
Me and Shane walked out to his car together, and as soon as I got in my cell phone started to ring. Trent.
"Trent? I’m on my way home right now, sorry. What? Slow down." It was silent for a minute, and I could hear sirens in the background. "Trent! What is going on?!"
"You should have your new boyfriend drive you to the hospital. Seth was in a car accident."
MY heart dropped and I wanted to cry so badly, but the tears wouldn’t come. Instead, my voice was high and squeaky when I managed to say okay.
"Hey, are you okay?" Shane asked, after I hung up.
"I need to go to the hospital. Please, Shane."
"Whoa, whoa. Hey, who was that? Babe, what’s wrong?" I looked at him, my eyes starting to water.
"Trent, my brother. Seth’s been in an accident."
"Oh my god, let’s go." He quickly backed up and drove to the only hospital nearby. I could see the ambulance just arriving when we got there. I saw Trent exiting, along with Seth on a stretcher. Even from the car, I could see his eyes closed, and I wanted so bad to be right next to him. I jumped out of the car and ran over.
"Sam!" Trent called, holding his one arm out. I buried my head into his shoulder and cried. He rubbed my back and led me into the waiting room. Once I was calmed down, Trent told me the entire story. How he got a phone call saying that Seth’s car was found on the road, completely flipped. He told me he ran over to the scene and rode in the ambulance with them since he didn’t have his car.
Shane held my hand the entire time, stroking it with his thumb. I knew he could feel it shaking because he kept squeezing it.
Eventually, about 2 hours later, they called Trent’s name. He talked to the lady behind the desk and came back with news.
"Good news. He’s done getting fixed up. She’s won’t tell me what all is wrong with him, but we can go see him if he’s not sleeping, but she said he probably is."
We all got into the elevator and went up to the recovery floor.
"I should probably call his parents and tell them. You guys go ahead." Trent left to find a phone, and I counted the room numbers until I reached his. I peered inside and he was asleep. Damn it.
"It’s good that he’s sleeping. He needs to rest, why don’t we find a doctor?" Shane placed his hand on my neck and we walked around the entire floor trying to find a doctor. I was about to give up when one came out of a room. Shane nudged me, reminding me to ask him.
"H-hi." My voice was shaky, and I reached my hand up to tuck a strand of hair behind my ear. "Uh, my friend, Seth Collins? He just came out of s-surgery a-and….well, is he okay?" I asked.
"Oh, Seth! Yeah, honey, he should be able to leave in the near future. Next 2 days, hopefully." My heart jumped a little, hearing that he was okay.
"Well, what are his injuries?" Shane asked, knowing that I didn’t want to.
"He’s got 2 fractured ribs, minor cuts on his head, and a inflamed nerve in his arm, but other than that, nothing too major. Just sort of beat up."
"Oh, okay, thanks." Shane pulled me away and we found Trent and told him what he knew.
"Well, his parents are driving up tonight. They’ll be here pretty late. I’m going to stay here and wait for them, you guys might want to head home."
"No, I wanna stay. Seth’s my friend." I said, sitting down in the waiting room.
"Okay, well, are you staying Shane?"
He looked doubtful, but then sat down next to me.
"I would never leave her." I smiled, and laid my head on his chest.
"Okay, then. Nothing else to do but wait."
