Seth immediately threw me off of him and I stumbled backwards on the counter a little bit.
"Nothing, man. She fell, I fixed her up." Trent could tell he was lying, but let it go. I sat there, wondering what he was thinking. What would he thought if me and Seth got back together?
WHAT!? No, Sam, no. You are with Shane, Seth has a girlfriend!
I sighed, jumped off the counter and headed upstairs to my room to take a nap.
I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. When I saw Shane’s picture for the caller ID I smiled and picked it up, trying to sound awake.
"Hello?"
"Hey! Is it okay if I come by and get you now?" I looked at the clock. Oh no!
"Uh, sure. Gimme like 10 minutes."
"Take however much time you need. I’ll wait." he hung up and I flung myself off of the bed and put on some sweatpants and a long sleeve t-shirt. I put on as much cover-up as possible to try and make sure that my cuts didn’t show, but apparently no amount of make-up would do it. I walked outside, shivered, then adjusted. Shane was idling in his car, smiling as soon as he saw me. I got in and sighed, feeling the warm heat escape from the heaters.
"You look pretty amazing." he smiled, backing up.
"Thanks." Did he not see the cuts on my face?!
As he turned around he noticed them, "Oh my god, Sam! Honey, what happened?" I explained while he took turns from looking at the road to my face.
"Are you sure you’re okay?"
"Yeah, just fine." I smiled. He pulled into the parking lot and motioned for me to stay in the car. He came around to my side and opened my door. I stepped down and together we walked hand in hand inside.
He spotted his friends at a round booth with pizzas already ordered. Shelby was there, but Riley was not. I felt bad for Kale as I watched him sitting there by himself.
I decided not to say anything to him, and took my place next to Shelby with Shane on my other side. He kept on bumping my knee with his and I laughed.
After all of the pizzas were gone, Kale left and went back to their condo. Ace took Shelby outside to watch the fireworks, but since I wasn’t dressed too warmly, Shane stayed inside with me. Right as the finale was going on, he said, "Sam?" I looked over and before I could answer, his lips were around mine, engulfing my soul. His kisses were….perfect. They sent a sensation through out your entire body, asking for more. When he finally pulled away, I opened my eyes, excepting this to all be a dream.
He smiled at me, and just then I heard a door slam shut. I looked over just in time to see Seth’s car pulling away from the lodge.
