Sitting, Waiting, Hoping

Alone, no help, breathing shallowly, in and out,
My blood's barely pumping, struggling to find a reason without a doubt,
Eating very little, can't manage to find the will,
The only thing halting this, is a tiny little pill
It takes my worries and locks them up tight
But it’s only temporary, until I see the light
One day I will wake, and I will forget this pain
It can't stay forever, it cannot be a stain
So I just sit, and wait, and preoccupy my hours
Just carry on with every day, dinners, bedtimes, showers,
Wait for this shadow of misery to leave
My life is what it's beginning to thieve
Too many times I have contemplated giving in
But to leave my loved ones would be a terrible sin
So I just sit, wait and wonder, which direction I will go,
There are only two routes that I possibly know
Either the pain will get too much that I will have to flee,
Or the pain will go, giving my life back to me
It's just a case of waiting to find which path I will win,
Whichever path I go, please forgive me if I sin
