Sirus Unknown - Chapter 3

Sirus Awakens (Comments Welcomed!)
"ITS ME ISN'T IT...?" Bitsy cries out beginning to rock herself slowly, eyes desperately looking for an answer on his face. After looking around the room, James completely ignoring Bitsy slowly unsheathed his sword. The blade slightly shown while James focused his attention on Sirus.

"Release him slowly Thomas we don't want it to escape from our grasp." before Thomas could comply his face grimaced as if he ate something sour. His facial muscles gave a violent twitch and then he seemed to relax. Bitsy slowly backed away from the group trying to bring as little attention to herself as possible.

"You almost had me there James but unfortunate for you I know exactly what those are." Thomas snapped tightening his grip on Sirus.
"Let me go your hurting me!" Sirus hissed. Thomas seemed confused for moment, then suddenly with blinding speed he flung Sirus at Bitsy and lunged himself at James.

Unprepared for the daring tactic, James was barely able to bring up his blade to defend himself. They struggled with each other, each trying to get the upper hand. Thomas grabbing James by the shoulders, swept him of the floor and banged him against an aisle. Computer monitors crashed on the floor under the onslaught brought on by the violent struggle. Thomas managing to get his hand around James's throat smiled wickedly and he began cutting off his air supply.

James tried to counter with his blade but it was pinned between his massive foe. Thinking on his feet he reached out with his left hand and grabbed a small flat screen and bashed it over Thomas's skull. To his utter surprise the huge figure didn't budge. James panicked he was nearly out of air and out of options. His vision began to blur, with a last effort he threw a hard kick to Thomas's groin. Thomas quickly released his grip and grimacing fell on his knees holding his family jewels. James quickly stood up gasping for air and standing over Thomas aimed straight for his gut.

"Why Thomas?" James coughed still catching his breath. Thomas was on his back one hand on the blade quickly being surrounded by a pool of his own blood.
"...Sirus...his fault they disappeared....if it wasn't for him....She would still..." Thomas violently coughed up blood he didn't have much time.
"Is that what it told you Thomas? You gave in over simple words!?" James looked hurt. Leaning over Thomas he pulled out his sword. Thomas moaned in agony pointlessly trying to put pressure on the gaping hole.

"..not just words..." Thomas coughed out more blood. James was utterly disgusted by his ally turned foe. He moved on, his movements deliberate to finish the job. Raising his blade he looked down on his old friend.
"...it showed me James...Sirus is...he's...not one..." Thomas's words were permanently cut off as James brought down the blade. James's features darkened as he pondered Thomas's last words. Taking no chances he rushed over to his companion.

Meanwhile, Bitsy shoving Sirus aside and grabbing a flashlight began heading towards the commotion. Sirus thinking quickly yanked her back.
"Let me go you imbecile, he needs my help!" Bitsy violently fought Sirus, kicking and punching him with her free arm.
"Thomas has been altered, he's joined them and James could get infected, Don't you understand!" Bitsy shouted angrily. Sirus stunned by the information let go of Bitsy and watched her take off.

Sirus was confused and scared, he was at a complete loss with the situation. Making a snap decision he grabbed two of the bags filled with food and other items. Unable to find the map and short on time he relied on his memory and bolted to the exit.

James met Bitsy half way, she quickly jumped back and looked at him unsure.
"It's me Bitsy, Thomas has gone. I'm sorry." James said gloomily. Bitsy still a bit unsure hesitated.
"Come on Bitsy we don't have time, I would give you the goggles but they broke in the struggle." James said. Bitsy took a step back.
James put his hand up in surrender.
"Okay, Okay Bits. Ask me something only I would know." James spoke softly now trying to calm her down. Bitsy seemed to relax a little.
"I think your safe but just in case tell me the year it started." Bitsy tensed up a bit waiting for his answer.
"Good one Bits, It started in 2012" James gave her a quick smile. Bitsy let go of a breath she didn't notice she was holding.
"OK....what happened?" she asked knowing the answer herself.
"No time Bits" James snapped. He got real close to her and asked.
"Where's that kid Bits?" she looked at James unsure.
"I left him near the bags." James took off and left Bitsy without another word.

James knowing the store like the back of his hand made it quickly to the electronic department. Seeing two bags missing he barely slowed before beginning pursuit. Running with a book light around his neck he headed straight for the new entrance.

After a few wrong turns Sirus finally saw the entrance and made a bee line for it. Not fifteen feet away he felt someone rushing towards him. Unsure of which direction the threat came from he switched of his light and was plunged into darkness.

James closing in on his destination gripped the sword handle. Eyes swiftly moving around, he began to slow.
James noticed a figure standing in the dark. He quickly switched of his light. Creeping torwards the figure he let go of the handle and rushed it.

Sirus was violently thrown to the floor losing the flashlight and backpacks in the process. His heart filled with fear, he did not want to go back to that box. Struggling against his attacker was futile, Sirus was just to weak. His anger flared and he screamed.

James tackled Sirus and they wrestled on the floor. Sirus screamed unleashing a colossal wave of heat and sparks. James flew back and crashed against a register. Candy bars and packs of gum rained down on him.
Holding his head James looked up and gaped at the figure rising in front of him. An aura of sparks made a protective shell around Sirus, moving in step with him as if it were alive. Fire burned in his eyes and an alien look came over his face. James sat there in awe, unable to move away from the beast walking towards him. Sirus extended his hand and a wave of harnessed energy ejected from his palm towards the man pressed up against the aisle.

Bitsy unsure of what was happening ran after James. Making her way through the aisles she found her way back to electronics and came to a full stop near the only bag left. She looked around and not seeing James or Sirus she took up her bag and ran towards the entrance of the store.

James fought against the brutal force pulling him towards the wicked boy. He literally wet his pants from the sheer terror that entered his soul. James had seined a lot in his 35 years but never something so devastating. This was truly what a demon looked like or so he thought.

The man came flying to Sirus like a yoyo on a string, coming to a stop before the boys hand.
"Why me?" Sirus whispered.
James caught of guard by the question dumbly looked at Sirus.
"...I don't...know what you speak of Demon." James scowled.
Sirus's features darkened and he released more energy.
James felt an incredible heat coming from the menace.
Sirus roared his anger and flung James, he screamed as he came crashing face first into a counter top.

Bitsy heard a terrible screech and began feeling an unbearable anger mixed with sadness in the air. She came to a stop and apologized out loud to James begging him to forgive her. Thinking of him she reached for the bolt gun tucked in her bag. The weapon was much like a 6 barreled gun, each slot was filled with a deadly container filled with charged up electricity each equal to a bolt or more. Putting the barrel to her temple she made a promise to join James in the after life. Before she could pull the trigger she heard a scream and came to a complete standstill.

James wiped the blood from his eyes and reached for the blade that miraculously stuck to his back. Facing Sirus he looked at his fiery eyes and released the sword from its sheath. A furious cry left his lips and he charged the Demon in front of him.

Sirus let the man get close to him and reached his hand out to intercept the blade. To James's horror Sirus grabbed the blade by its point and simply squeezed causing it to shatter at every point. James stood there holding his sword handle and his knees began to tremble. Sirus grabbed James by the throat and held him up a clear foot of the ground.
"I don't know why you brought me to this world but I will escape. You pathetic creatures will never survive my wrath." Sirus pulled James closer and looked at him eye to eye.
"Tell me where the woman is." Sirus said. To James's surprise he was unable to stop himself from speaking.

"I don't know which woman you speak of." Sirus shook James and howled.
"YES YOU DO! Your working with her! You all are! The woman in the white jacket with green eyes. Tell me NOW!." James answered immediately.
"I don't know her or work with her, but if she had a white jacket on she might be some kind of scientist or doctor or both." James was worried now the only person that could give him answers was about to kill him.
"Why did you attack me?" Sirus asked shaking the poor defenseless man.
"Thomas said it was your fault, that you were the cause of all these catastrophes. I had to know if he was telling the truth." Thomas was beginning to lose it now, he felt something tucking at his mind. Sirus stood there a minute, distracted by this revelation. Sirus's grip slacked a bit and his aura sparked out but his eyes continued to burn.

Bitsy had emerged a few feet away and gasped in horror. This kid had also been altered in the short time she was gone but it was so different she didn't understand. She didn't need to James was in danger and Bitsy would die before watching him come to harm. As the THING interrogated James she crept closer and closer. To her utter surprise sparks flashed and then disappeared completely. Taking her only chance she leaped forward and unloaded the 6 deadly shells.

Sirus felt something thud against his back, letting go of James he collapsed on the floor. His eyes burned dimmer and dimmer as the seconds ticked by.
"You insignificant and unremarkable pests, how dare you bring me here...I will kill you all if you don't take me back...damn...you...all." Sirus muttered losing consciousness with every breath. "If you... don't...bring me...they...will...find...and destroy..." Sirus blacked out leaving James and Bitsy even more confused then before.
