Easy Tofu Recipes
There are many simple and easy tofu recipes, which you can make use of to make delicious dishes. A few of these simple tofu recipes are given below, and rest assured that once you try them you will be hooked on to tofu.
Baked Tofu Recipe
This is one of my favorite tofu recipe. It reminds me of a number of non-vegetarian dishes which I have always savored, however, since the time I have started making this dish, I do not really feel like going back to those dishes at all.
Ingredients
- Firm Tofu 1 lb
- Rice Vinegar 1 tablespoon
- Toasted Sesame Oil 1 tablespoon
- Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons
- Sugar 2 teaspoons
- Fresh Ginger (minced) 1 tablespoon
- Fresh Garlic (minced) 1 tablespoon
- Scallions (chopped) ½ cup
- Cumin ½ teaspoon
- Coriander ½ teaspoon
- Cayenne a pinch
- Fresh Ground Black Pepper to taste
- In a jar, mix vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, ginger, garlic, cumin, coriander, cayenne and pepper and shake the jar well, so that all the ingredients are well mixed.
- Press the block of tofu between paper towels, to remove excess water from it.
- Make ½ inch slices of tofu and place them side by side in a flat baking dish.
- Mix scallions in the marinade and spread it over the tofu slices.
- Cover the tofu and keep it aside for at least an hour in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees, drain off the excess marinade and bake the tofu for about 30 minutes.
- Halfway through the baking process, turn them, so that both the sides are well baked.
- Let the tofu pieces broil for a few minutes, so that the tofu has a nice crusty finish.
Although I am a big fan of baked tofu, fried tofu also makes for a wonderful dish. Once you try this recipe, I am sure you will also become a big fan of this fried tofu recipe.
Ingredients
- Firm Tofu (drained) 1 lb
- Soy Sauce
- Olive Oil 3 tablespoons
- Paprika
- Cumin
- Ginger Powder
- Cayenne
- Slice the tofu into ½ inch × 1 inch pieces.
- Place the pieces in a bowl and sprinkle with soy sauce and stir well.
- Let the tofu marinate with the soy sauce for an hour or so.
- Now add in paprika, cumin, ginger and cayenne to the tofu and stir well.
- Heat oil in a non stick frying pan and add the tofu to it.
- Let the tofu fry for 5 minutes, till either sides of the tofu turn brown and crispy.
With this recipe, you will be able to make a delicious salad. I have this salad very often, when I am very tired or I would want to eat something which soothes my stomach.

- Firm Tofu 1 lb
- Olive Oil 1/3 cup
- Wine Vinegar 1/3 cup
- Basil 1 tablespoon
- Black Pepper ½ teaspoon
- Oregano 1 teaspoon
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Tomatoes (chopped fine) 2
- Cucumber (cut into pieces) 1
- Red Onion (chopped fine) ¼
- Black Olives (cut into pieces) 1 cup
- Press the tofu with a paper towel and remove the excess water from it.
- Then cut the tofu into small chunks.
- Let the tofu chunks steam for about 5 minutes, to kill all the pathogens in them.
- In a large bowl add olive oil, wine vinegar, basil, black pepper, oregano and salt and stir well.
- Then add the tofu pieces to the marinade and keep it aside for an hour.
- Just before you are going to eat the salad, add all the veggies to the tofu and serve the salad.
