Simple Photo Graduation Invitations

Choose a great photo and strong wording to make great photo graduation invitations.
Photo graduation invitations can be the best kind of invitation for your graduation party. They may be the very thing that captures the essence of your party and the personality of the graduate.

The best time of your child’s life can be at their High School or College graduation. The fun and excitement are hard to believe until you do graduate and enjoy a simply fabulous time. Our eldest daughter graduated from High School this year and her achievements were simply outstanding. I understand how hard it is to really say how you feel about it all. I know Katie was absolutely delighted to graduate with brilliant grades. I know she was very happy for her friends, but after a few days it all seemed to go a bit flat. She did start to worry about missing her friends and leaving home. That is why we were very happy that we had planned a great graduation party at our home. We wanted to get back into celebratory mood and look forward to a great party night.

I had talked to all our family over the years about how well Katie was doing and we did look forward to her graduating. Graduation was always a distant goal that we knew would come but did not really anticipate how it would feel. As we have a large family we were very keen to make the party very close, personal and also quite lavish. Photo graduation invitations make the perfect personal invite.

The choice of photograph was key to making the invitations great. I thought for a while about whether to use a younger photo of Katie or a recent photo. A younger photo would illustrate just how much she had grown. A recent photo would really show the guests where she is right now as a graduate. I preferred to use a current photo, although it was a marginal decision. I felt that it was the grown up Katie that is the guest of honor. Importantly Katie felt that she wanted to use a current photo. For a while I did believe a very good photo we had from a family wedding 12 years ago was the best photo we have of Katie.

I did like the angle of how much she has grown. However her preference and the invites being from Katie made the decision. The wording for the photo graduation invitations is also very important. The party was to be a big one with everything centred on graduation and the graduate. At first I thought the wording could be "Katie invites you to her graduation party" as the opening line however that did not seem to match the big party. A better first line did seem to be "Katie the star graduate invited you to her massive graduation party". In the end we used "Come and celebrate Katie’s graduation achievement in style at her party".

Producing the photo graduation invitations is fairly simple to do. Load the digital photos onto your PC and using simple photo software size and position the photos. When you are happy with the photo copy the results into Word and add the wording. Similarly you can add photos, and addresses, to envelopes. Once all this is completed, you will be ready to print off all the invitations. I do hope you seriously consider photo graduation invitations and choose the best photo and wording that you can.
