Simple Boy

Letting go...
I may look like
The boy next door
But I still feel
That I am insecure
About how I react
To you
But I know
There's more then what the eye sees
And more to what I believe
But I'm on my own
Independent now
Live life
Without no doubt

I'm not insecure
That I didn't love you
Not feeling sore
That I didn't know you
No feeling down
On what I'm missing out
I'm not crying
Into my pillow
Not gonna keep on trying
To make you change your mind
I'm not that kind
Of Boy

It's not my fault
It's just I'm attracted to you
Call it whatever
I just can bear to see you
Try to deny
Everything that's been said
Your starting to lie
Like it's the end of a relationship
But do you
Realize it was never one to start
You can't blame me
Whenever life gets hard

I'm not insecure
That I didn't love you
Not feeling sore
That I didn't know you
No feeling down
On what I'm missing out
I'm not crying
Into my pillow
Not gonna keep on trying
To make you change your mind
I'm not that kind
Of Boy

Threw me your insults
All of your pain
Just wanting to never see you again
Lied through your teeth
And showed me again
That I should be yours, oh what a shame
I'm not complicated
I'm easily read
But your so frustrated
That you blew your head
Out on all of this hassle
Not easily led
By this communication
On nothing but dead words

I'm not insecure
Not feeling so bad
On what I'm missing out
Misleading read
I'm plain and simple
Nothing bad to know
Just a simple boy
That I've always shown
