Simmons Beautyrest Reviews & Ratings

This article discusses the findings from our research on Simmons Beautyrest innerspring mattress based on nearly 300 actual owner experiences.
If you are looking for unbiased information on the Simmons Beautyrest innerspring mattress based on actual owner experiences, I think you’ll appreciate this article.

My research team collected data from 288 Beautyrest owners regarding what they think of their purchase. Our sources were dozens of online message boards which tend to be excellent sources of unbiased, quality information.

The information that we uncovered is interesting. I will discuss the issues of comfort and durability below.

Comfort

According to our data, 58% of Beautyrest owners find their bed to be comfortable. Is this good? The answer depends on whether you are comparing the mattress to other innerspring beds or non-innerspring beds.

Compared to other innerspring beds, such as Sealy, Serta and Kingsdown, Simmons is competitive with and similar to the other brands. Compared to non-innerspring mattresses, such as beds made primarily from memory foam, latex, air or water, Simmons is less competitive and perhaps even uncompetitive. This is because non-innerspring beds tend to have comfort ratings around 80%, according to our related research.

Durability

The durability of a bed has much to do with how comfortable it is over the long term. That’s because if a bed suffers from poor durability, it will likely sag. Sagging often causes pain on some part of the body, such as the back, shoulders and hips.

On the durability issue, about 30% of Simmons Beautyrest owners indicate sagging of the bed that takes place fairly early, usually within the first three years. Is this good? Again, the answer depends on whether you are comparing the mattress to innerspring beds or other types of beds.

Simmons performs about the same in regard to sagging as other innerspring types. Compared to non-innerspring beds, Simmons lacks much competitiveness because non-innerspring mattresses tend to have far fewer instances of sagging, according to our related research.
