Silver Lady
My close friend attempted suicide and was in the hospital...I wrote her this poem...she hasn't heard it yet...
It's the turn of the tables.
Instead of you mourning my fail,
I'm left to think about yours.
It shouldn't be this way.
What happened to smiling?
Oh yeah, we do smile,
Under the scars and bruising.
We smile with a tear.
We smile with a handful of life stoppers.
Stop smiling,
Face your demons.
Who haunt you every night.
Who turn your dreams into terrifying nightmares,
Who want you to burn.
I'm burning.
There is nothing but flames around my body.
I dare you to lay of that bed.
I dare you to give up.
I'll give up for you.
I'll give up with you.
But don't you dare walk into the dark alone again.
