Siberian Husky Puppies: Incorrigible Roamers

The Siberian Husky puppy is essentially a pack animal and this is not surprising since he has for long been bred as a working dog, and Siberian Husky puppies are sure to grow up and live till at least twelve years of age, which means he is going to be your pet for a considerable period of time.
There is something really endearing about the Siberian Husky puppy that without a doubt is the most beautiful looking dog of all breeds, and even when it has different colored coats, nothing seems to detract from its appearance. Even the shade of the eyes can vary and though normally you would associate Siberian Husky puppies to have blue eyes, they are known to have other colored eyes as well.

What’s more, the compactly built Siberian Husky puppy already has strength in his body even when he has not attained adulthood, and this characteristic is what makes him a good working dog in his later years. His nature is gentle while also being playful and sometimes he will show his strong will or become mischievous, which are traits that endear Siberian Husky puppies even more to their owners. This breed is really good around children and will readily make quick friends with even complete strangers.

There is a certain intelligence in the Siberian Husky puppy that you may not find in other similar breeds, and this trait makes it easy to train the puppy. Even if he won’t make a great guard dog because of his friendly nature, he will learn the proper behavior and will generally obey the commands you have taught it during its training. However, during training, you will need to overcome his somewhat willful behavior and put up with his tendency to follow his inner thoughts and only obey commands that seem to make some sort of sense to him. However, even after training, you should ensure that you don’t leave your puppy on his own, because of his destructive bent of mind.

Though the Siberian Husky puppy is not an animal that is given to much barking, he does love to howl, which takes some getting used to. He is also a puppy that can easily become bored, especially when left alone for sometime, because he would much rather spend time with the family and likes human company as is noticeable in how easily he makes friends with even complete strangers.

The Siberian Husky puppy is quite sparing when it comes to eating food and this trait can be described as frugal, as he does not require being fed a whole lot of food. In addition, he loves to roam. Though he should not be allowed to go outside without being kept on a leash for fear that he will get lost or make other people get upset. However, he is a good companion, especially if you get to know and understand the particular needs of this extremely beautiful and intelligent breed.

Siberian Husky puppies may suffer from a few health related problems such as hip dysplasia and also juvenile cataracts, and in certain instances can suffer from zinc responsive dermatitis. It is also not recommended to keep the Siberian Husky puppy in an apartment because of their active nature, though after being properly trained will adapt to living in an apartment as well. Still, they need to be taken out and given at least an hour’s exercise during the day, and they also prefer cold climates since they carry a very heavy coat on their bodies.
