Shower Stall Installation
Shower stalls enhance the look of the bathroom designs as they are found in many colors and textures that can suit various bathroom styles. Here, we have discussed in detail about shower stall installation.

Preparation for Installing
The crucial part of the preparation phase involves some plumbing work. Hire a reputed and experienced plumber who can do the task of the water connections and drainage system as per the requirements of the shower stall. You also have to prepare the bathroom flooring with the help of new flooring material before you install the shower stall. When you purchase a new shower stall, a guide containing installation instructions are provided by the manufacturer. Go through this document carefully as this will help you to arrange the required tools, and at the same time prevent you from committing mistakes during the installation process.
Fiberglass Shower Stall
The first step of a shower stall installation is the task of installing the shower pan. Place the shower pan on the concrete base and fix it with some shower adhesive. Once the shower pan installation is complete, you can start with the main task. The first panel of shower stall that needs to be installed is against the wall. Apply shower adhesives generously on the back of the panel. Start applying adhesives to the corners, then the sides and then move on to the center. Now place the panel against the surface of the wall and press it well so that the panel gets stuck to the wall. Hold it in that position for a few minutes so that the adhesive gets bonded with the wall. You can also stick some blue tape to ensure a better bonding.
Next, you have to fix up the shower stall on the wall that has the plumbing fixtures, like faucets, etc. It is a slightly tricky one as you have to drill holes on this panel using a hole saw for the shower fixture. Use it carefully as it can cause cracks on the panel. It has to be fixed on the wall in the same way as you have fixed the first panel by using shower adhesives. Other panels have to fixed in the same way. At the joints where two panels of the shower stall meet, you have to install the corner clips using adhesive. Once the adhesive dries up, apply the water-resistant sealers on them.
When you are done with the side panels, you have to install the base plate of the shower stall. Keep the base plate on the shower pan to mark the location of the shower stall drain installation on the plate. Then drill holes into it carefully without causing any damage to the plate. After this place the plate properly in a leveled position and screw it up with galvanized screws. Then the side plates are placed and fixed with the help of sealant and blue tape. For installing the glass panel shower enclosure, you may need the help of a partner or else it may slip down. Fix it tightly with screws first then tighten it further with rubber piping to prevent any leakage. Finally, fix up the top plates with silicone caulking at the joints which will ensure your shower stall to be water tight. Once the adhesives and the sealants have cured completely, put up the shower head and other shower fixtures. Make sure to check if the shower has any leakage or not.
The process of tile shower stall installation is much more complicated and requires the help of skilled hands. If you plan to install them in your bathroom, it is always recommended to install them by hiring professionals.
