Should We Trust Review We Read on The Internet

Talks about forums and blogs where users can post comments. Is this actually beneficial to everyone?
It is amazing when individuals who are attempting to buy or rent a product try to find valid information on the Internet. And when you read about reviews on apartments, or regarding joining a specific gymnasium, it is equally difficult to gauge what they are speaking of is correct.

I was attempting to join a new gym in the West Houston area right near the beltway and Interstate 10 freeway. Lifetime Fitness recently opened in September of 2008. It is actually their highest level of fitness gyms (Onyx). This facility is over 150,000 thousand square feet. There are literally rows and rows of aerobic equipment. You will not have any problems finding a treadmill, stair master, exercise bike, or any other cardio equipment. The free weight and machine sections are equally as satisfying, as there is plenty of equipment. And the crowd levels are extremely low. After touring the property, I was sure this place was head and shoulders above the other dinky gyms.

After I returned home I simply typed in "Lifetime Fitness Reviews" in some of the more famous search engines on the Internet. Literally all the reviews were negative. Review after review had a complaint about the facility. But most of them centered around a few areas. I can see how people can be scared away from negative reviews on the Internet. But I wanted to comment about these sites.

-Sites that review products and services are not monitored. Anybody who can read and write the English language can type in whatever comes to their mind. These sites are like blogs which allow users to post an unlimited amount of comments.

-Just because somebody writes a comment doesn’t mean it’s true. Would you believe something just because somebody wrote it on the Internet? The funny thing is I believe readers do, people can be frightened by negative reviews. This is very bad for business

-Why are all the majority of the reviews negative? I believe this is very easy to explain. When people spend their hard earned money, the last thing they expect is to be misled. When people’s expectations don’t meet the actual results; negativism is a result. People will tell their friends, co-workers, neighbors, and even take the time to write comments on message boards.

-If you have ever tried leasing an apartment; you may have come across apartment ratings. It is almost impossible to find an apartment with a satisfactory rating.
In conclusion, don’t be scared from these silly forums where we don’t know who is providing the information.
