Shina's Shadow Episode 1 - Three Year Nightmare

Shina's eyes flew open in a panic as cold sweat rolled off her skin. Quickly, she sat up and glanced at the digital clock on her bed stand.

Shina: "11:59 p.m., it’s too early but for some reason I can’t go back to sleep."
[Shina gave a sigh of relief mixed with disappointment.]
Shina: "Another sleepless night... I just don’t understand it, why am I being haunted by this nightmare?"
[No answer, but it wasn't as if she was expecting one either. Shina stumbled out of her bed and went over to the glass doors that led to the balcony. She opened them and basked in the moonlight.]

"It’s hard to believe that it’s been three years… since the accident."
My name is Shina the mysterious-one Inymota I’m sixteen years old… and I’m an elite assassin
[Shina stares out in space she let her mind wander as she replayed the nightmare she had just experienced.]
Shina: "The images keep playing over and over again... the fighting, the sound of gun shots, and blood... what does it mean? Why do I wake with tears every night, just what do these visions mean?!" Shina asked, becoming frustrated.
[The telephone began to ring. Shina strode quickly into the room and picked the phone off of the receiver; answering it.]
Shina: "Yes sir?"
Comogata: "Listen, I’ve changed my mind; leave now while we have the element of surprise."
Shina: "A midnight killing... how thoughtful of you." Shina replied sarcastically.
Comogata: "Just don't slip up!" Comogata snapped, "And get me all the information you can."
Shina: "As you wish..."

[Shina replied before slamming the phone back down onto the receiver.]

[Quickly, she slipped the black leather suit. Shina looked at the digital clock again. It blinked 12:05 am. Grabbing her supplies, Shina headed out of the door. She went to the elevator, after walking through a couple hallways, and pressed the down button. She sensed someone behind her and turned to see an elder man.]
Elderly Man: "Well now... isn't it a nice night?"
[The man asked with a toothy grin.]
[Shina turned back to face the elevator and ignored him.]
Elderly Man: "Which brings a question to mind... why are you out so late? And where are your parents?"
[The elevator doors slid open and Shina stepped into it.]
Shina: "Get lost... old man."
[Shina scoffed as the elevator doors shut and started down.]
Elderly Man: "My, my... kids these days..."
[He mumbled, walking away]
[Shina arrived in the Main Lobby when she stepped off. Looking to the main desk, Pedro was on the phone. As Shina approached, he quickly hung up.]
"Oh! Ms. Inymota! Nice to see you again! Are you going somewhere? Huh? Huh?"
Shina: "Just shut the hell up and give me the keys, will you?"
[Shina demanded]
[Pedro smiled and grabbed the keys from the drawer and smirked.]
Pedro: "I'll take that as a yes."
Shina: "Thanks."
[Shina mumbled before heading out of the lobby doors.]
[Shina walks out of the building heads to the first car on the left black Mercedes CLK custom made she turns off the car alarm and get in]
Shina: "I’d better not keep Mr. Jerry Son waiting."
[Shina pulls out of the hotel parking lot drives toward the freeway]
Shina: "I just don’t understand it…"
[Flashback to the nightmare]
Shina: "It was like I had been there; and lost somebody precious, but who were they and more importantly, why am I haunted by this, if I don’t know them?"
[Shina shakes it off and keeps on driving]
[Meanwhile back at the hotel…Pedro picks the phone back up]
Pedro: "Hey Jerry, she just left so you better leave now."
Jerry: "Thanks for the warning, I’ll leave right away."
Pedro: "Yes sir…"
[Pedro hangs up]
[Shina got to Son Technologies at about 12:45; the building looked completely deserted except for a light at the top of the building]
[Shina got out, and walked around the building and sees a ladder]
Shina: "Well… well what do we have heard, and there’s an open window too; how pathetic… but I want to make this as quiet as possible, in case someone else is here too."
[Shina climbs the ladder and through the window unnoticed]
Eric: "Hey John how are the wife and kids."
John: "Fine, just fine… she’s expecting another one soon."
Eric: "Really!? Is it a boy or a girl?"
John: "It’s a girl this time."
Eric: "Congratulations, John hey after we finish up here we’ll go out for drinks to celebrate."
John: "Sure alright, I was hoping for a boy though."
Eric: "Why."
John: "Because that’s just what I need another Karen in the house."
[Shina took out her revolvers and turned off the safety]
Eric: "Awww… I’m sure that you’re going to be alright, you’ve got a good girl on your hands."
John: "I guess so…"
Shina: "Well here goes…"
[Shina pretends that she found something]
[Eric turns to Shina]
Eric: "Oh hello Miss, what can we do…?"
[Eric stares at the guns]
Eric: "JESUS JOHN SHE’S ARMED!"
[John turns to Eric]
John: "What are you…?"
[Then turns to Shina and stares at the guns]
John: "Oh shit! YOU’RE RIGHT!"
Shina: "How nice of you to notice."
[Shina starts shooting up the place]
[John and Eric make a run for it]
[Shina stops shooting and reloads]
[John and Eric hide under a desk together]
Eric: "John what are we gonna do, this bitch is crazy."
John: "I have an idea but it’s kind of risky though."
Eric: "Well what is it?"
[Shina starts walking around]
Shina: "I know you’re still in here, come on out I promise it’ll be painless."
Eric: "Well I was thinking that I would trip the silent alarm; under that desk over there while you distract her."
John: "Fine but make this quick before we both wind up dead."
[John and Eric both crawl from under the desk and split up]
[Shina spots John and shoots at him in the leg]
[John screams in pain]
[Eric runs to the other side of the room; dives under a desk and trips the silent alarm and waits for John]
[After a few more gunshots and all of them missing John manages to get under the desk]
John: "Did you do it."
Eric: "Yeah I…"
[Eric interrupts]
Eric: "John! You’ve been hit!"
John: "Would you look at that… well it was worth it though, how long do you think it’ll be before the cops show?"
Eric: "I don’t know but let’s take care of this first."
[Eric takes a cloth out of his pocket and wrapped up Eric’s leg]
Shina: "He got away; this is really starting to get annoying."
[Suddenly John notices something]
John: "Hey Eric what’s that in your other pocket?"
[Eric pulls out a standard pistol]
[John is shocked by what he sees]
John: "YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU HAD THIS; THE WHOLE TIME AND DIDN’T USE IT."
Eric: Shut up John she could still be looking for us."
[Shina thought]
Shina: "This has gone on long enough, time to put an end to this now."
[Shina followed the sound of voices to the other end of the room]
John: "SHUT UP… SHUT UP, WE COULD BE DEAD RIGHT NOW ERIC…but it did get quiet all of a sudden."
Eric: "So… how long do you think it’s gonna be now?"
[Shina looks under the desk and point her revolvers at the janitors]
Shina: "Long enough for the both of you to be dead."
[John let out a girly scream and hugged Eric terrified]
Shina: "Now any last words before you die?"
John: "Yeah, well… it’s been nice knowing you Eric."
Eric: "Yeah you too buddy."
[Police cars and helicopters surround the building]
John &Eric: "THE COPS ARE HERE... WE’RE SAVED!!"
Eric: "But I just realized one thing."
John: "What’s that Eric?"
Eric: "That we’re her hostages."
John: [sweat drops]
John: "YOU JUST NOW NOTICED THAT!"
Donald: [still in the car]
Donald: "This is the police put down your weapons, and put your hands in the air."
Nick: [sighs and puts his head down]
Nick: "Sir, you’re not supposed to say that until we’re inside the building."
Donald: "Oh yeah I forgot."
[Nick sighs again and gets out of the car]
[Donald also gets out of the car]
Donald: (cont.) "I’ve been out of commission for a week, what do you expect?"
[Shina thought for a second]
Shina: (cont.) "Well, I have two choices, I can either let these two go now, or I can have innocent blood on my hands and destroy a happy home… I think that…"
[Policemen storm the building]
John and Eric: "HELP, HELP WE’RE UP HERE HELP US…"
John: (cont.) "Yeah help us she’s got a… hey where’d she go?"
Eric: "What are you talking about she’s right over our…"
[Shina disappeared; she rode up the elevator to the 12th floor]
Shina: "The mission is not over yet, I may not be able to deliver a body; but at least I will get the information I need instead."
John: "Are you sure that lady was even human, I mean we just blinked for one second."
Eric: "I know… but let’s be thankful that we’re still alive."
Donald approaches John and Eric]
Donald: "Are you two alright?"
Eric: "Yeah I’m fine but John needs a doctor fast."
[Nick walks in and observes the room]
Nick: "What happened in here?"
Donald: "You escort these two gentlemen out of the building, and to a hospital."
Paul: Yes sir, these way gentlemen."
Donald: [observes Nick]
Donald: "You okay there Nick, you look like you saw a ghost."
[Nick thought]
Nick: (cont.) "Hmmm… she wasn’t really trying to hit them it’s a message."
["Catch Me If You Can", was engraved in bullets on the entrance wall]
Donald: "Hello, Nick are you alright you don’t look so good."
Nick: "Yeah… yeah I’m fine; I’m going to check out the rest of the building."
Donald: "Okay I’m going to see to the other guys."
[Donald left out of the room]
[Nick thought to himself]
Nick: (cont.) "So you’re here too Shina, that must mean that we’re after the same person."
[Nick disappeared]
[Shina got off the elevator at the 12th floor]
[Shina takes out her revolvers again and quietly entered Jerry Son’s office]
Shina: "Damn it, I’m too late, but his computer is still on so, collecting information won’t be as hard after all… I’ll just hack into recent emails, and telephone calls, connect it to this and…"
Shina’s palmpiolet: "Thirty minutes until complete download, commencing download now."
Nick: "Just as I thought."
[Shina looked up and saw Nick standing at the door with a gun pointed to her face]
Nick: (cont.) "Drop the revolvers and step away from the computer."
[Shina stares in Nick’s eyes and slowly stepped toward him]
Shina: (cont.) "Well the police aren’t so stupid after all."
Nick: "Why are you here?"
Shina: "Why do you think, but then again why am I explaining myself to a second rate cop like you."
[Shina dropped the revolvers and roundhouse kicks Nick]
[Nick grunts while holding his stomach, and flies out of the office]
[Shina picked up her revolvers again and goes outside]
[Nick got up and charged at Shina, jumped up and kicked both revolvers out of her hands]
Shina: "My guns, oh well I don’t need them I can beat you hand to hand."
[Shina assumes fighting stance]
Nick: "You’re still as sharp as ever Shina."
Shina: "How do you know me?"
Nick: "because I’m Travis from the office remember?"
Shina: "… Travis… Travis, wait what the fuck are you doing here?"
Nick: "I was sent here to eliminate Mr. Jerry Son; but they didn’t tell me that you would be here too."
Shina: "Smart, looks like I trained you well after all."
Travis: "Of course you did."
Shina’s palmpiolet: "Download Complete… Download Complete."
[Shina and Nick ran back into the office]
Nick: "So that’s the information that he wanted right."
Shina: "Yeah."
Nick: "So now what?"
Shina: "I convincingly kick your ass, and escape from the roof."
Nick: "Sounds good, I’ll see you back at headquarters, then."
[Shina grabs palmpiolet]
Shina: "Of course."
Donald: "He taking too long in there, I’d better go and check on him."
[Donald goes into the building again]
[Shina knocked out Nick and dragged him out into the hallway; and escaped by the roof]
[Donald gets to the 12th floor and sees Nick lying there]
Donald: "Nick… Nick are you alright?"
Nick: "Yeah but she got away."
Donald: "But how did she escape?"
Nick: "She must have used the roof."
Donald: "Damn it… all outside units search the premises for a lady in all black; report back in if you see anything."
Outside Units: "Yes Sir."
[The units check everywhere but there’s no sign of her]
Jason: "Sir the area is secure, there’s no sign of her I repeat no sign of her."
Donald: "Alright then pull out, I repeat pull out."
Nick: "Fools she’s probably half way back to the hotel by now."
[Shina gets into her car, and tries to pull off but is stopped by a police officer]
Steven: "This is a crime scene miss, what are you doing here."
Shina: "Late night at the office sir."
[Steven studies Shina]
Steven: "Alright then you can go."
Shina: "Thank you."
[Shina gets back to the hotel and the phone rings]
Shina: "Hello?"
Comogata: "Was the mission a success?"
Shina: "Yes and no."
Comogata: "What do you mean yes and no?"
Shina: "Good news is that I got the information, the bad news is that he got away."
Comogata: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN GOT AWAY?"
Shina: "Meaning that somebody tipped him off about me coming."
Comogata: "Hmmm… very well report to the office tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m"
Shina: "Yes sir."
[Hangs up]
