A reportedly intoxicated LaBeouf, 21, was arrested in Chicago early Sunday morning and charged with a misdemeanor count of trespassing after he refused to leave a Walgreen’s store. Police responded to a call at the store at approximately 2:30 am. Sunday after being summoned by a security guard. The guard filed a complaint against the Transformers star saying that he refused to leave the store even after being asked several times. Security guards detained LaBeouf until the police arrived.
It has been reported that LaBeouf and friends had spent the better part of the evening drinking and partying at Chicago hotspot The Underground. Chicago Police Department spokesperson Joann Taylor said, "Once they asked him to leave, he should’ve left, but at that point it was trespassing." LaBeouf was reportedly "very courteous and polite" while in custody. He was released on bail at around 7 a.m. LaBeouf is due in court on November 28.
LaBeouf’s recent behavior is a far cry from what it used to be. The actor gave an interview in April stating that he doesn’t like to party in public. When asked if he was a big "clubber" he responded, "I have no compulsion to do it. It seems like a really cheap thrill. It seems stupid." He also said in another interview in August, "I don’t like going to clubs." Seems like that has changed recently. He was spotted in late October partying at Les Deux in Hollywood. A source said he was "chain-smoking and making out with a tall brunette." Maybe his recent arrest will help him keep a handle on his partying…
