Sheer Hunch !!

Trees were uprooted and strong branches were dangling.
Aware of falling any moment, to survive, they tried clinging.
Leaves were leaving their branch notwithstanding the strong breeze.
On the chilled ground, those greens were left to freeze.

Poor branches were holding on and waiting for their end!
High speed wind was blowing like a flying fiend!
Lo and behold! One wicked blow razed the trees to the ground.
Their branches too fell down with a loud sound.

Lashing rainfall was made to dance to wind’s rhythm.
Life turned haywire and in absolute mayhem.
Just out of shower appeared the riders on tandem!
Holding sickle and spade, those peasants sang at random!

The couple enjoyed being wet from top to toe!
These are the water drops they pray to and bow?!
Robust intuition warned them about this unseasonal downpour.
Fully grown crops were harvested and protected well before rain’s roar!

Rain was pouring savagely without a break.
By clapping and tapping, they paid obeisance to their good luck!
Worst calamity would have struck them had they procrastinated for a day or two.
The deadly disaster was averted by heeding to their sheer hunch’s cue!
