S(he) be(lie)ve(d)
I like that title quite a lot ^ , and of course i didn't make it up. This is a poem about a girl's never ending love, through all the shit he did, and when everyone forgot him, she didn't.
Gave him all her trust and love,
But as it turned out,
He’d decided his satisfaction should come above.
One time too many,
He lied,
One time too many,
She cried.
But not once she let him go,
She would give and forgive,
He’d get and forget,
And kept her captive.
One day something happened,
It wasn’t her, it was fate,
They tried to save him,
But as decided by the gods, it was too late.
They couldn’t save him,
He was gone,
But soon after, everyone forgot,
Everyone moved on.
Except her,
She always loved him,
Even when he was cruel,
Even as the good memories grew dim.
She cried one last time,
As she knelt by his grave,
She said she was sorry,
And one last time she forgave.
