Sharp Right Shoulder Pain
The shoulder being an important part of our body, even minor pain experienced in this organ could be troublesome and also affect the adjoining organs like neck. The sharp right shoulder pain is one such problem which needs to be diagnosed and treated in a timely manner.

Shoulder Pain
The shoulder being a body joint subject to wide range of movements, it is also prone to injuries or pain. Disruption of soft tissues of the shoulder, injuries, diseases of different body organs (liver, gallbladder, cervical spine and heart) could be the reasons behind shoulder pain.
Sharp Right Shoulder Pain
The pain in right shoulder could turn intense at times and it may also cause difficulty in breathing or body movement.
Right Shoulder Pain Causes: There could be several causes of sharp pain in the right shoulder. Cholecystis, cholangitis, jaundice, gallstones, disc protrusion, injury of the rotator cuff, etc. could be the possible reasons behind sharp pain experienced in the right shoulder. Pain resulting from pinched nerve not only affects shoulders, but also the entire arm.
Pain Under Right Shoulder Blade: You never known how much pain, irritation and inconvenience is caused by a shoulder blade injury until you experience it. The pain experienced in right shoulder blade at times, is difficult to deal with. The fact that our shoulder blade is located near the neck region may complicate matters and make the pain unbearable. Sangunaria is used for treating this problem. One should visit a physician to obtain expert advice and necessary information about exact dosage of this medicine. In most cases, the RICE methodology is used by doctors for treating the problem. RICE is the acronym for the terms rest, ice, compression and exercise. Enough rest is needed for the shoulder blade injury to heal itself. Ice is an anti-inflammatory agent which need to be applied to the shoulder blade on a regular basis. Pain in the shoulder is generally associated with a feeling of tightening of muscles and blood vessels. The treatment method of compression (warm compression) allows blood vessels and muscles to relax. Finally, the use of exercise helps the tissues of shoulder region to strengthen. The RICE technique therefore, proves to be useful in the treatment of shoulder blade pain.
Diagnosis
The shoulder is examined for problems like weakness, deformity, tenderness, muscle wasting. The different tests conducted for shoulder pain include the CT (Computerized Tomography) scan, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scan and EMG (Electromyogram) test. CT scan and MRI scan are the procedures commonly used by doctors for examining the shoulder joint soft tissues, while EMG test helps in finding out the nature of damage caused to nerves.
Treatment
Shoulder pain is dealt with mostly by the use of non-invasive treatment methods. Non-surgical treatment methods include the use of sling (supporting bandage) and few exercises for shoulder pain which help improve the flexibility and strength of muscles. Medications such as Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen are recommended by doctors to provide physical relief from pain. Corticosteroid injection is helpful for reducing inflammation. Arthroscopic surgery is used to diagnose or detect shoulder problems that are often missed out in routine testing. This type of surgery involves the use of tiny instruments and small incisions. Pain resulting from arthritis can be mitigated however, the problem cannot be completely cured. Medications like Motrin are used to reduce the pain.
Bad Workstation Setup
The setup of workstation (placement of the computer mouse) might result into pain in the right shoulder. The mouse needs to be placed in a position that doesn't require the arm to leave the side. One should check whether the placement of mouse is proper and make the necessary adjustments. The right shoulder pain and arm movements are thus, interrelated.
One should be particular about maintaining right postures in order to avoid problems like back pain, slip disc, neck pain and of course the sharp right shoulder pain. Other causes of shoulder pain should also be taken into consideration to avoid any such possibility in the future.
