Shania Twain Split Over Another Woman?

Sources say that Lange, 59, left Twain, 42, for Marie-Anne Thiebaud, the couple’s longtime secretary and manager of the couple’s Switzerland chateau. Last week Twain’s rep Jason Owen confirmed the split saying, "Shania Twain and her husband, music producer Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange, are separating after 14 years of marriage. This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time." A few days later Lange spoke out on the split saying it was "an unfortunate thing" and said, "It’s literally just a growing apart, that’s all."

Now a source has said that Lange and Thiebaud, who is also married, had an affair and are still together. Said the source, "Mutt and Marie-Anne left their spouses for each other and are still in a relationship." Lange denied that he is romantically involved with Thiebaud and denied that their relationship caused his separation saying, "It’s absolutely not the reason [for the separation]." Thiebaud reportedly could not be reached for a comment.

Twain and Lange met in 1993 and were married six months later. She has said that they are "very different," but has said, "Our love has always been based on friendship and compatibility." In August 2001, the couple had a con, Eja D’Angelo. A source has said that Twain is "devastated" by the split and said that "this came out of left field." The source added, "She loved him." Twain is reportedly getting through this with the help of some close friends and family. She also has a new perfume and album coming out this year.
