Shallow

Random.
Masked by shallow lies,
Smile graced with tears,
Too lost in love to deny,
Sorrow's pleasures appear,

As whispering promises diminish,
Death's lingering breath kisses the skin,
Too blind to see his blemish,
Capturing the facade with a wandering limb,

If God would smite the evil,
And the page be turned,
Then perhaps Grim reapers kill,
Would not face a sentence burned,

Extend your ear,
Lean into the temptations,
For what is hell without fear,
Or sin without damnation.
