Shadow Realm: Prologue
Lilith Cadwell, a seventeen year old girl who has always been able to see things normal people can, suddenly meets a mysterious young man who turns out to be the King of Demons. He takes her to the place where Demons and Angels have been fighting for over a thousand years, The Shadow Realm.
PROLOGUE
There is an on going war that mortals have no idea about; the purpose of this war has long been forgotten. The war itself has lasted over a thousand years propelled forward by the sheer hatred of each side, so in all fairness this war has now come to be known as The Thousand Year War. In the shadows of your world the war takes place but it’s spreading. Very few humans have gone to this place and even fewer yet have returned from it. It’s where things from your dreams and nightmares exist. All manners of demons live in this place; it’s a place where blood-thirsty creatures lurk and where dangerous monsters follow your every move and stalk you from the darkness waiting for you to drop your guard. Angels and Deities also live in this place much like your vision of heaven. They watch over you and protect you from harm. It is called the Shadow Realm. The Shadow Realm is an endless chaos of magic. If you ever saw the shadow realm you would think you were having a pleasant dream or a terrifying nightmare, because just like a mirror there are two sides to it and both the complete opposite of the other. So the inhabitants of the Shadow Realm mercilessly battle each other, with neither side showing any signs of giving up any time soon (and for god’s sake it’s been going on for a thousand years). Many demons have gone rogue and fled to the world of mortals. They assume human forms and live like "normal" people but there are some that think that mortals are no more then cattle to demons, playthings to pass their immortal lives. The angels have also started to live among mortals to "protect them" so in actual fact The Thousand Year War has spread into YOUR normal mortal day life, but you didn’t even know that, did you?
