Sex Shouldn’t Be Embarrassing

Now, the world’s first ever "sex theme park", which opened on April 18 in London, seeks to make learning fun and, more importantly to make reticent couples shed their inhibitions.
For the price of admission, you can enjoy a spankometer, an orgasm tunnel and a giant wall of willies. It’s full of high tech interactive attractions, including a class on stripping techniques, a voyeur’s peep wall; and a video display about the ins and outs of oral sex.
With admission restricted to adults, the Amora Academy of Sex and Relationships has huge screens all around which show couples making out in all sorts of scenarios - in flats, in threes and in cars. Two life-size naked dummies, which are placed in the first of Amora’s seven zones, are meant to teach people how to be better in the bedroom.
Another set of dummies are designed to coach people to search for the G-spot. Another attraction at the theme park is a wide range of sex toys, some of which may surprise you. A coming attraction is another set of dummies, with the inner workings of their privates on show, so you can search for the G-spot.
To get turned on – and maybe even climax – you can head to the Amorgasm tunnel, where real-life screaming orgasms are played on giant televisions. The huge screens show footage of the faces of men and women at the point of orgasm. Another interactive game gives the people a chance to pick and choose a sexual position from a touch-screen list.
For those with a more serious bent of mind, there is an hour-long daily lecture dedicated to sexual health. According to Sarah Brewer, Amora’s director, the sex park is a celebration of sexuality. It’s not sleazy or pornographic. Some of it is quite explicit, but it’s as explicit as it needs to be – considering that many people still have inhibitions about exploring the full potential of the sex act. It’s about sex as it is now and tomorrow. It’s contemporary and exciting.
Brewer also stressed on the fact that it would be women who will force their partners to visit Amora. "I think it will be women who make the decision to come here - and bring along their partners and friends. If guys are embarrassed by this sort of thing, they’re exactly the kind of guys that need to come here. Sex shouldn’t be embarrassing." Well said, madam.
