Setting out 10 (Part Three)
Love you

"Claire, this is Violet. Violet, this is Claire. You're both Taylor's girlfriends so it seems".
The two girls turned to face each other, mouths open in shock and astonishment.
"Violet, Claire is also my ex-girlfriend, Taylor stole her from me".
Violet's brow was crunched up in confusion.
"But...you said Jasper stole your girlfriend!" she said to Taylor. He shrugged, "Oh, did i? You must've heard wrong. Sorry" His blatant disregard for her feelings pushed Violet over the edge. She stalked towards him and he looked at her as if bored. She pulled her arm back and it snapped forward, and connected with his jaw with a satisfying crunch.
"Fuck!" Taylor screamed.
"Ow!" Violet shrieked.
"Oooooh!" Jasper and Claire laughed.
Violets hand was throbbing, she hadn't expected this amount of pain. Taylor was rubbing his jaw and glaring at Jasper as he doubled over with laughter. Claire was looking at Violet with just a hint of respect in her eyes. After a few seconds Jasper's face was serious and he told Taylor to get out.
"No! I don't want to. I want to talk to Claire and Violet!"
"You don't deserve to talk to us!" Claire hissed at him, just like a snake. He was taken aback at the hate in her words.
Violet moved to stand next to her, Jasper was in front of them both. Violet held out her hand, Taylor looked at it in confusion.
She sighed impatiently, "My watch, you asshole!" Taylor very slowly undid the clasp and then dumped it in her palm.
"As far as I see it, you betrayed me, I'm not so much as hurt but angry, you lied to me and you tried to use me. You betrayed your friend and then lied to Claire. You're an asshole and just looking at you makes me want to GAG! So GET OUT of this house and go crawl under a rock and die!" Violet was very angry, and her words dripped with venom. Claire was nodding as if she agreed but Jasper was staring at Violet as if she had grown two extra heads.
Taylor turned and left and it took all Violet's strength to not pick up the mug on the bar and chuck it at his retreating head.
"Oh my god! You were awesome! You would have frightened off the devil with those words! Jeez, you scared me! I mean, even though he was two-timing us, it doesn't mean we can't be friends right? I like you, and your clothes rock by the way. Is that top Gucci? It's so hot, I want one!" Claire was rambling, but Violet was only paying her half her attention. The other half was on Jasper. She pushed past Claire and stood in front of him.
"Look, Jasper. I'm so sorry I believed him and didn't even give you the benefit of the doubt. It's just, when I saw you with Cindy, I-I got jealous and he came to check on me and I so badly wanted to believe that someone wanted me. But-"
Jasper cut her off by kissing her, and at first she was kissing him back softly, but then she remembered and pushed him away.
"What?" he asked.
"I can't. I can't forget the party, I saw you with Cindy, and don't even try to say you're just friends or something or I'll stab you!"
Jasper was confused.
"What are you talking about?! I haven't been out with or seen Cindy for two months! We broke up ages ago!"
Violet shook her head.
"Jasper, don't! Don't lie to me!When I went to go to the toilet, I saw her coming out and when I got downstairs, she was wrapped around you like candy floss! The only reason I even noticed her was because she had the same dress as me. But I guess she looked a lot better in it than I did than I thought, otherwise you would've waited for me to come back" Violet was near tears and Jasper ached to reach out and pull her into a hug, but when he tried she moved back.
"Vi, I was with you the whole time at the party! You went to the toilet and then you came back and we carried on dancing. Why do you keep saying I was with Cindy?! I know I was pissed but I wasn't so drunk that I wouldn't notice the difference between you and her!"
"Wait...so you were pissed?" Jasper nodded. "So you might've not realized it wasn't me?" Jasper nodded again.
"You said you had the same dress, and the party was dark, and I was off my head. I saw the dress and even though it was blurry I recognized it. So I must've mistaken Cindy for you. You see? I didn't do it on purpose!"
Violet was so happy that it was all just a mistake, she moved into his circle of arms and pressed her lips against his. It was slow and sweet and it lasted a long while before Claire cleared her throat beside them.
They pulled apart and looked at her, she was sitting at the bar sipping a coke.
"Um,ew!"
"Then piss off!" Jasper murmured before pulling Violet tighter against him and kissing her again.
He heard Claire huff and then the door slammed a few moments later.
Violet smiled against his lips and tangled her fingers in his hair. It was soft against her skin and she curled it around her index finger as Jasper ran his tongue across her bottom lip and made her shiver.
Without pulling away, he moved towards the counter and lifted Violet up onto it. She wrapped her legs around his waist and kissed him even harder. It surprised Jasper when his hands didn't move to her shirt as he had imagined doing before. He was perfectly happy just kissing her. It surprised Violet as well because she had seem him leering at her the first time she saw him.
She moaned as his lips moved up her face and he nibbled on her ear.
"I think I love you" he whispered in her ear and she gasped. He moved his head back to look into her enchanting eyes and saw that they were glistening.
"I love you too" she whispered and then she bit her lip. Jasper's heart swelled, so it wasn't just him. He tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear.
"Where's Lindsay?" she asked.
"At a sleepover"
Violet smiled shyly and slid off the counter, tucked her hand in his and pulled him upstairs to his room. He cocked an eyebrow as she closed the door. She smiled and pushed him on the bed.
