Sell Crafts Online and Multiply Your Income By X
There are two ways to build your craft business profitability. Increase profit margin or sell to more people. You're probably already buying your supplies as cheap as you can so there's little you can do about profit margin. That leaves finding more people. The good news is that selling crafts online gives you access to so many more potential customers it can make your head spin!
The opportunity to sell crafts online can transform people's lives. It can be useful extra income for work at home mums (or dads), or it can turn a "kitchen table" business into a company selling crafts all over the world.
If you sell crafts online you CAN multiply your income by X. The only thing you have to decide is what number "X" is.
OK, building any business requires work. There are those people who will tell you that you can sell your crafts online and make a fortune in a fortnight. They're con-men (and women too!). There is no "get rich quick". If that's what you're looking for, buy a lottery ticket.
But if you're a craftsman or craftswoman looking at ways to increase your income from your craft and you're NOT selling online then you are missing out on a tremendous opportunity. Arguably the biggest opportunity that has ever existed.
Imagine this.
You make hand-made soaps which you sell to family and friends. You also attend shows and fairs where your crafts are popular and you earn nice "weekend" income. On a good weekend a couple of thousand people can come by your craft stall.
With a website, on a good day who knows how many thousand people could come by your "craft stall"? They do that every day, 24/7 and you don't even have to be there! Imagine waking up in the morning and checking your email to find you've made sales, perhaps dozens of sales, while you were asleep!
The only problem you've got is making enough soap to fill all the orders. Isn't that the sort of problem you could cope with? Imagine what that could do to your income?
This is NOT an extreme example. Craftspeople are selling crafts online every day - and every night too! Some of them, those who were prepared to put in the effort, make very, very comfortable livings doing what they love.
Isn't that a nice thought.
Now I can't guarantee you'll make sales every night, no-one can, but a properly set up craft website is a craft stall or shop window for all the world to see - and order from - all the time. It never closes. There are things you need to do to make sure you sell crafts online successfully, but that's true of any business.
It's not rocket science, there are no "secrets", there are just some things you don't know yet.
Unfortunately there's a lot of confusion about how you start. There are dozens of different ways to sell crafts online and it's difficult to find experienced, independent advice.
However, you will find lots of free information about selling crafts online here.
