A number of people who are victim to under-confidence and no motivation at all are those who have an inferiority complex about their weight, educational qualifications, money, etc. To help yourself get out of this timid surrounding, find some great self motivation exercises mentioned below.
Exercise #1
The easiest of these self motivation exercises you can start with is, to make a list of all the things you want to accomplish. You can make this list depending on what your wants are at least for the next year, if not for life. These things should not be the very important decisions in your life, but trivial needs which are being ignored daily. Make a timetable for yourself and try your level best to follow it. Always keep a copy of some self motivation books with you, in case you like reading (they really help).
Exercise #2
Once you are ready with your list, stick it up in a place where you can see it, as the first thing in the morning. Make sure you follow the timetable you have made and try to focus on what your tasks for the day are. Plan the day, by categorizing your work on the level of difficulty, so you are left with easier and less hectic work for the end of the day. Once you are used to following a specific routine, self motivation at work and home will be very healthy and they will be more enjoyable.
Exercise #3
Occupy yourself in other self motivation activities like Yoga, meditation, workouts, dance, painting, music or even reading, if it helps you move ahead and find your potential. When you engage yourself in such activities, or meet new people through them, there is a new and fresh feeling that you get. This feeling is full of positivity and confidence, which will help you move towards your goals.
Exercise #4
Once you have learned how to motivate yourself, appreciate yourself. When you have achieved something, that needs to be appreciated, don't expect others to reward you, do it yourself! Go out and party, dine, meet friends, socialize or simply shop. When you are happy, confident and full of pride about being who you are, it shows on your face. Never underestimate yourself, because you are no lesser than anyone. Dress up and smile, because when you feel good, you look good.
Instead of letting the world decide your capacity, decide it for yourself and I am sure you can lead the world by being just yourself. Thus, with the above mentioned self motivation exercises, you can surely develop a positive environment around you, that will help you to move ahead in life.
