Security Wristbands

Taggant labels are virtually impossible to copy, so when applied to non-transferable Security wristbands, the wristband then becomes a highly effective way to protect ticket sales for events, and prevent counterfeit admission access. And while Taggant wristbands are incredibly functional for controlling special access areas, many security wristband manufacturers are realizing that they still need to offer full customization with Taggant bands, to ensure that wristbands can still be used as a promotion and advertisement tool for sports arenas, concert sites, amusement parks and fundraising events.

The Taggant label is applied to virtually any of the wide-range wristband products available on the market, including Tyvek (tear-resistant paper security wristbands), vinyl bands and even lenticular wristbands. The Taggant is available in holographic form or with color-shifting ink, and are practically impossible to copy. Both label types are identifiable to the naked eye, and will reflect light differently if the label is counterfeit. Specialized scanners, which are provided by the wristband manufacturer, are tuned to a frequency specific to that manufacturer. Only Taggant labels tuned to that dedicated frequency would be validated by the scanner.

Whether companies are using wristbands made of Tyvek and vinyl, or utilizing Taggant technology, unfortunately, the fact remains that counterfeit ticketing and transferable admission access has dramatically increased for all venue types. Wristband manufacturers’ new product launches are providing solutions to remedy this, and are continuing to remain ahead in this high-tech world by offering their customer’s not just high quality products, but problem solving tools.
