Damien’s P.O.V.

When Damien got home he noticed the kitchen light at Emily’s house was on. He got out of the car and walked over to her house. He knocked on the door at least five times before Jess answered.

"Hey," Jess greeted Damien.

"Hey. Where’s Emily?" Damien asked.

"She’s not talking to you right now. Why?"

"Because I need to talk to her about everything. Jess, please, let me talk to her."

"No. I can’t she said that she can’t see you due to certain circumstances."

"Jess, PLEASE," Damien begged.

"Listen, why don’t you tell the bitch, Clare, to go fuck off. She’s the reason Emily won’t talk to you right now. So, I advise you go have a talk with her," Jess rushed out.

Damien stood there staring at her. Jess rolled her eyes and shut the door in Damien’s face. He didn’t know what to do.

He sat on Emily’s porch, thinking. He thought about everything he and Emily had ever done together. Every little thing Emily had ever done to make him fall more in love with her.

He thought of the way she always used her pouting face to get what she wanted. Damien grew more upset by the minute. He had to get Emily back into his life to prevent the vision he had from coming true.

He just had to. Life without Emily, to Damien, was a life not worth living.

Emily’s P.O.V.

Emily sat on her bed, trying to hold back her tears. Of course Damien didn’t want her. He wanted long legged Clare. Beautiful, long legged Clare. Blonde, beautiful, long legged Clare. Ugh.

Emily was about to lay back and go to bed when a knock sounded at her door. She got up and unlocked it. Her mother walked in.

"Are you okay?" Rachel asked.

"Yeah, mom. I’m fine," Emily lied.

"Well… Jess told me what happened."

"Oh. How wonderful. Mom, can I ask you something?"

"Sure, honey. Anything."

"Can I just miss the last two weeks of school? There’s really nothing I have to do, except get my Diploma. But I can just get that from the office or something and not go to graduation," Emily told her.

Rachel stared at Emily, bewildered.

"Please," Emily begged when her mom didn’t say anything.

Rachel sighed. "I don’t know… You really should finish school up, Em. But, if that’s what you want to do then go ahead. It’s your choice, not mine."

Emily smiled at her mom. Thank goodness she was getting out of school. She didn’t know what she’d do if her mom said no.

"Thanks, mom. You’re the best!"

Emily gave Rachel a quick hug before going upstairs to put her night clothes on. Tomorrow she would get her diploma from the high school and tell them she couldn’t come the last two weeks.

Two Weeks Later...
*
Emily had done it. Two weeks later and she had managed to keep out of Damien’s sight. She avoided all phone calls from him. She only went out while he was at school.

One night she was tempted to talk to him, though. It was the night that he opened his window and called her name. Emily had her window open, so he knew she would hear him if he yelled for her.

Emily had gotten up and closed her window. She had glanced quickly at Damien when doing so, only to have the ache in her chest burn. He looked so beautiful. And lonely, to a certain extent.

Now, though, was the last day of school. Which, Emily dreaded, meant that Damien would be home more often. Unless he was went off to college like he had planned.

Oh well, Emily thought to herself.

She would be off to college soon, as well. Then, all would be well. Damien would be out of her life for good, and she could move on. Though, the ache in her chest kept getting worse with each passing day.

Emily told herself the ache was because she was getting lonely without anyone to talk to besides Jess and her mom. Only, the real reason was because she missed Damien. But she wasn’t going to admit that to anyone.
