Second Home

Undeniably, the office is second home. Whether workplace ethics are in place or not, like-minded people around add to the quality of life.
Two places where life is spent
One is for heart, the other for brawn,
Home is where the heart is meant,
The workplace, aspiration drawn.

Between the two most of us lie,
In the path lit to work and earn.
Both offer comfort to the sigh,
Of lessons yet to live and learn.

The need to apply is met at work,
The need for solace at dear home;
While one offers a pat and perk
The other, rest from worldly roam.

One soon melts into the other,
In conversation and spare room,
To inhibition shed and smother
And reduce space for gloom.
