One of the habits that I developed in my younger days was making scrapbooks and collecting things of interest (I thank my mom for inculcating that habit in me!). I remember collecting photos of wild animals, plants and other fascinating images of animal life, from magazines that my dad, often bought . Beginners who have never ever made scrapbooks but are eager to start this hobby must first of all, arrange the necessary tools that are required to make a scrapbook. The most basic tools that you'll require are as follows:

• Photographs/Images

After you're ready with the necessary materials, you've to do some brainstorming about your layouts and how will you arrange the pictures. Some people paste the images on the first page and then write something about the image on the next one, some paste the image in the center of the page and write their thoughts below the page. Step #1: Flaunt Your Photo Collection!

In other words, the size of photos must not be so big that you've to cut it short thereby spoiling the photographs. Just cut them or rather crop them and adjust according to your scrap book size. Keep in mind not just to paste the photos to fill spaces in the scrapbook. Leave some space for writing and other creative pursuits.

Step #2: Make the Scrapbook Look Lively!
A picture is worth a thousand words and if it is added with any title or catchy phrase, at the bottom or middle of the page, it can make the picture even more attractive and meaningful. You can choose any phrase or title and write it creatively in the beginning of the scrapbook. Choose a theme and then based on that theme, make your scrapbook.

For instance, if you choose the theme as "My Life, My family", then include all the photos of your family members in the scrapbook. Paste two photos on one page or as is the availability of space in the scrapbook. If you find that the picture is associated with some special incident, humor or some story, then make sure, that you write about that issue and enrich the scrapbook. Scrapbooking for beginners must involve making small scrapbooks and maintaining them for sometime.
