Mary Wieland, the wife of rocker Scott Wieland, has blamed an imbalance in her medication for her behavior over the weekend that led to her arrest.

Mary Wieland was arrested on Saturday and booked for investigation of felony arson vandalism after allegedly setting fire to $10,000 worth of her husband’s clothing, suits, and shoes outside their home in Southern California. Mary Wieland, 31, said Wednesday, "For lack of a better expression I was unstable and just ‘lost it.’" She was also questioned over vandalism to the couple’s hotel room at the Graciela Burbank Hotel earlier on Saturday.
Mary Wieland went on to say, "The weekend’s difficulties were brought on by a reaction to an imbalance in medications used to treat my bipolar disorder. Scott was simply trying to calm me down. I want to make it very clear that he did not hurt me in any way." Scott, lead singer for Velvet Revolver and Stone Temple Pilots, and Mary Wieland were staying with their kids and their nanny at the hotel over Saturday when a fight allegedly broke out between the couple. Scott sent the kids off with the nanny and then reportedly left. It has been reported that Mary then trashed the hotel room. Both Scott and Mary were questioned and he was not believed to have had anything to do with the incident.
Later that night was when Mary Wieland allegedly hosted her very own bonfire and torched her husband’s clothes. They are in the process of relocating homes and are still allegedly planning to move into their new home in Los Angeles together. Said Mary, "After nearly seven years of marriage, I am truly grateful to have a loving husband, drug free for 3 ½ years now, who is able to care for me during this challenging time." The couple has two children – Noah, 6, and Lucy, 4. There has been no word yet on whether or not the hotel will press charges against the former model. She is expected to be arraigned on May 7 for the arson and vandalism case.
