You can set up the experiment by spraying grounded coffee beans on the soil where you have planted a bean plant. You also need a control set up with the bean plant growing in absence of caffeine to analyze your results. Keep an eye on the growth of the plants and note down your observation. You will observe an enhanced growth rate on the plant growing in presence of caffeine. This is because coffee beans are organic substances that enrich soil with nutrients requited for growth of plants. Jot the results and the procedures in a systematic manner supported by diagrams.

Magnet Experiments for Demonstrating Properties of Magnets
Studying magnetism and electromagnetism is one of the most interesting portion of Physics and students can perform magnetism experiments with simple household materials. The experiments, although are very easy to perform, should be emphasized with logical reasons. In this context, you can experiment to create magnetic field around a bar magnet with some iron filings. The iron fillings are placed on a paper that is tapped gently after placing it over the bar magnet. You will notice that the iron fillings get aligned in a particular direction and they acquire the shape of the magnet. This happens due to presence of an electromagnetic field around the bar magnet. Other quick to do and interesting experiments with magnet include magnetizing and demagnetizing a nail and creating magnetic compasses. You can also frame a project to show effect of temperature on magnets and their properties.

Effect on Duration of Combustion for Different Species of Wood
Experiments concerning combustion of wood is an interesting science fair project for 7th grade. The experiment needs a little bit of preparation. Collect different species of wood, like maple, oak and birch. Place a single piece of wood on a barbecue rack. Record the start time. Note down the time required for complete burning of the individual species of wood. You will notice that the combustion time is different for each species. You can conduct this experiment also for measuring the heat generated by each species. The experiment needs to be performed with precision. To determine the heat released, you to have to keep a water vessel on the barbecue rack each time you set the wood for burning. Now connect a temperature probe to a Logger Pro (computer software) that will be further connected to your computer to record the temperature. The probe is kept inside the water jar. This experiment deals with thermodynamics and should be handled very carefully.

Prism Experiments to Show Properties of Light
With the help of a prism you can demonstrate that prisms are capable of refracting light and splitting light into a spectrum of seven colors. There are several experiments to demonstrate the property of a prism assisting in separation of light. The refraction phenomenon is best demonstrated by determining the refracting angle from the displaced letters written on a piece of paper that is held at a distance from the prism. Adjust the distance at which you observe the best refraction angle. Measure the angle of refraction with a protector and elaborate the correct inference. You can also make a cardboard prism for demonstrating formation of spectrum. This experiment is also known as Isaac Newton's prism experiment. When white light passes through a prism it gets split into seven different colors (VIBGYOR) and you can observe it on a white screen placed behind the prism. If you place a second prism instead of the white screen, then you will notice that light has refracted to a certain angle. Include appropriate diagrams while writing the experiment.
