Scary Situations - #1

My fingers typed swiftly on the keys on my laptop, as a door slammed somewhere in the house. I froze and my fingers still on the keyboard. I was home alone...or I was supposed to be. My heartbeat raced in my chest, and the hair on the back of my neck stood up. I could feel the change in the air, and I knew something was in the house. I slid off the bed I was lying on and grabbed the bat that rested next to my dresser. Another slam of a door let me know which direction I was headed in. The bathroom. My fingers tightened around the bat as I paused at the bathroom door. The light was on but no noise came from inside. The door was being opened again, and my heartbeat skipped a beat. I slammed the door open and began to violently beat the person. I heard a crack and a loud thud. My beating stopped immediately as the person slumped, unconscious to the ground. I looked down at their black clothing, and covered face. A mask covered everything important on there face except their eyes, nose, and mouth. I pulled the mask off only to find a familiar man's face.
