Scam Acne Treatments You Should Avoid

The acne industry is huge, and many shady companies are coming in hoping to make some cash. Here are some warning signs to look out for.
Everyday, there are more and more acne products on the shelves. Supermarkets are flooded with them, and the Internet is one of the best places to market acne treatments. Where there is money there are also scam artists. These people are looking to make a quick buck, so they quickly put together an acne treatment in their kitchen and start to market it by making incredible claims. Here are the typical scam advertisements you should watch out for:

Acne freedom in just 72 hours - You cannot be acne free in such a short period of time. This is the most popular way these scam artists get your money. They pretend their acne product works miracles, when prescribed medications for acne take weeks to eliminate acne. Who are you going to believe, the Dermatologist or some one looking to make money?

Miracle Pill - There are acne treatments marketed for acne, weight loss, hair loss, and pretty much everything you can think of. There is no such thing as a miracle product. Everything has it's positives and negatives, but there is no product that works to treat problems. Yes, there are people claiming their product can cure cancer as well. Use your common sense and don't fall for these pranks.

Even if they don't claim miracles, there are also acne products that offer themselves as free trials. Before you take on the offer, you should be very wary. These free trial companies often make it extremely difficult to cancel your order, and often shipments get "lost" and you assume they aren't going to charge you. They will charge you, and often they charge your credit card even before your trial is up.

Overall, stick with well known brands, and avoid shady companies that will do anything to get a hold of your cash.
