Potatoes in any form are often the most common food item that may occur in may homes. Potatoes can be dressed up into various types of dishes and this can serve to be an easy way to whip some interesting dishes in a relatively short period of time. Easy Scalloped Potato Recipe with Onions:
Ingredients
Large potatoes - peeled and thinly sliced (5)
Chopped onion (3/4 cup)
Butter or margarine (3 tablespoons)
All-purpose flour (1/4 cup)
Chicken broth (1 3/4 cups)
Mayonnaise (2 tablespoons)
Salt (3/4 teaspoon)
Pepper (1/8 teaspoon)
Paprika

Preparation:
First, take a greased baking dish and layer the potatoes and onion in this dish. Then, melt some butter in a saucepan and stir some amount of flour in this. Let this mixture smoothen and once it does, you can add the broth very slowly to this. Also add some mayonnaise, salt and pepper as well. Cook this preparation till it turns thick and stir the mixture for around 2 minutes. Then, pour this mixture over the potatoes. Gently sprinkle some amount of paprika over this. Cover the preparation and bake it for 325 degrees. This should require at least 2 hours for the entire process.

Delicious Scalloped Potatoes Recipe:
Ingredients
Medium potatoes (4)
Milk
Shredded cheddar
Large onion (1)
Garlic powder (1)
Oregano

Preparation:
First, you would need to slice the potatoes into very thin circles. Slice these potatoes width wise. Slice the onions into thin strips and separate these out. Then, make an alternate layer of potatoes, cheddar, along with a dash of spices and onion as well. Repeat this procedure till the casserole gets filled up to at least a ¾ level. Top this with some amount of cheddar. Then, you would need to pour milk in the casserole till it gets filled up to at least half of the height of the casserole.

Bake this at around 350 degrees F for duration of 1 ½ hours. Cook till it turns tender. Potato slices that are cut thickly will need more time to cook. Once cooked, let it set for a period of 10 minutes.

Easy Scalloped Potatoes Recipe:
Ingredients
Butter (3 tablespoons)
All-purpose flour (3 tablespoons)
Salt (2 teaspoons)
Pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
Milk (3 cups)
Thinly sliced potatoes (6 cups)

Preparation:
Melt some butter in a large saucepan over medium low heat. Then, stir in some flour into this till it smoothens and turns slightly bubbly in texture. Add some salt and pepper while you stir the mixture. Then, add some milk till the preparation turns thick. Now, you will need to add the sliced potatoes to this saucy mixture. Cover the preparation and let it cook for at least 8 minutes.

Then, transfer this mixture into a greased baking dish. This can be approximately the size of 12 X 8 inches. You would need to bake this preparation at 375 degrees for around 45 minutes. Do note that you would need to bake it uncovered.

Crispy Scalloped Potatoes Recipe:
Ingredients
Medium potatoes, which are suitable for mashing - sliced into thin slices (5-6)
Milk (2 1/2 cups)
Flour (3 tablespoons)
Butter (3 tablespoons)
Grated Cheddar cheese (1 cup)
Onion – chopped (1/2)

You would also need:
A large rectangular glass dish
Pan spray

Preparation:
First, you need to preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Then, spray the glass dish with some non-stick spray. Place the potato slices along with the chopped onions in this. Melt some butter into some amount of flour over medium heat. Then, remove the pan away from the heat and add the milk slowly with constant stirring. More flour and butter can be added to thicken this mixture. Add the grated cheese and stir the mixture till it melts.

Pour the sauce over the potato and place this in the oven, covered for around 30 minutes. Then, remove the cover and let it cook for around 60 minutes. Once the potatoes are cooked thoroughly, let it set for at least 20 minutes, uncovered.
