Say You Love Me

A poem for one of my girlfriends after we broke up…
Say you love me, but don’t cry for me
Say you hate me, but don’t lie for me
Say you want me, but don’t fool me
Say you are mine, but don’t rule me

Say you are lonely, but don’t miss me
Say that I am pretty, but don’t kiss me
Just take my hand and say you are my friend
Because darling, this is the end.
