San Francisco: Natural and Spontaneous

Throughout the world, the city of San Francisco is well-known for its natural beauty, colorful Victorian homes, the marvelously engineered Golden Gate Bridge, and its diverse communities. All it takes is a short walk around the city and a keen eye to appreciate the beauty of San Francisco.

I have gotten to know San Francisco better in the last few years. After all, it is the place where La Purse, the women fashion store I operate, is located. True, getting to San Francisco in a busy morning when traffic is bumper to bumper may not be too much fun. But, even that experience is a part of the San Francisco experience; in fact, I find it weird if there's no traffic on my way to work!

As time has gone by, I have come to appreciate many other qualities that make San Francisco so unique. One of San Francisco's greatest qualities, and the one that amazes me until this day, is its incredible cultural diversity.Through the fashion business I have been blessed to meet so many different people. Since La Purse is a women's fashion store, most of our customers are women. But this doesn't limit the experience in any way whatsoever. I have met an endless list of beautify and charismatic women. And the best part, each one of them is different!

In a typical day at La Purse, it is not hard to find two women speaking Russian on one corner of the store, a woman talking in Spanish on her cellphone, and another group of woman talking excitedly in Tagalog as they admire a beautiful giraffe print handbag or try a soft pashmina shawl.

What can I say. I love the experience. It is lively, colorful, and full of energy. However, there is ONE thing all these different women share. It is something so unique to women that I don't fully understand it myself. I can only describe it in four words: "It is soo cute." When a woman finds an accessory she loves, a unique handbag, a Pashmina shawl in a color she has been looking for everywhere, that woman's face glows differently and her smile is spontaneous and natural. That's usually when I hear those four magical words, "It is so cute."

I love what I do. There is no doubt in my mind. Also, I know I am at the right place, San Francisco. Its beauty is so spontaneous and natural, like the smile of a woman that has find the perfect purse.
