Ryan Jenkins Found Dead of Suicide in Canada
Ryan Jenkins, the former reality television star sought in the murder of his former wife, was found dead in Canada over the weekend after committing suicide in his hotel room.
Ryan Jenkins took his own life in the midst of his run from authorities seeking him as the prime suspect in the murder of his estranged wife and girlfriend, Jasmine Fiore. Their relationship had been stormy and brief, marrying in March after only having met a few weeks before that. Jenkins had cracked the reality television circuit, appearing in filming for Megan Wants a Millionaire and the yet-to-air I Love Money 3, both of which were destined for smaller cable networks and unlikely to bring too much in the way of future opportunities.
Police discovered Fiore's body last weekend after Jenkins had called to report her missing. Her fingers had been cut off and her teeth had been removed in an apparent attempt to impede investigators who would be trying to identify the body. Eventually, investigators identified Fiore using serial numbers from her breast implants.
Shortly after reports surfaced that Fiore's body had been found, police named Jenkins as a person that like to interview and it became obvious that he had fled. A Canadian native, Jenkins was believed to have crossed the border into Canada in the days immediately following his call to police.
Jenkins made his way to Hope, British Columbia in Canada - a town known as the setting for the first Rambo movie, First Blood. He checked into a local hotel there with the help of an unknown woman who has yet to be identified. She purchased a room for three days and is believed to have left shortly after checking in. Hotel staff discovered Jenkins' body dead and hanging in his room after he did not check out as scheduled.
