"Mrs. I left my history book in my locker can I go get it?"
"Yes but be quick."
"Yep no problem." I said rushing out of class and down the hall. I reached my locker and hear Trey's voice. Well I better tell him I'm sorry for everything now. But as I got closer I heard another guy's voice. I know it's rude but hey I'm a teenager we are supposed to do stupid things so I stopped to listen.
"Hey Williams!" Alex whispered loudly in my ear.
I gasped and hit him. "Don't do that!"
"Jeez sorry!"
"Shhhh!" I said trying to listen to Trey and the other guy.
"Trey pay up man."
"I didn't even get to go to the date she blew me off."
"The bet was simple you had to get that April girl to go on a date with you it didn't happen so pay man."

Trey groaned and took out some money.
"April?"
"You were right." I whispered at him.
"I always am." He said smirking. Stop! I said hitting him.
"Oh! Here they come! Oh God I can't believe I have to do this again."
"Do what?" Alex said but before he could say another word I pulled him to me and kissed him as Trey and his friend passed by.
"See man I told you she was with another guy! Next time think before doing a bet." Said Trey's friend as he left laughing counting his money.
"So you guys?" Trey started.
"We what?" I asked still dizzy from the kiss with Alex.
"You guys going out?"

"Man just face it you tried to mess with girl here..." Alex said throwing an arm around me "and you were the one you got punked."
Trey just looked shocked. "Umm okay."
"Well then see ya'" I said pulling Alex with me when we lost Trey of view I just breathed deeply.
"Man what a jerk!"
"See." Alex said.
"That was why you were telling me he wasn't good for me?"
"Um not only that." He said smirking
"Then why?"

"I don't know you tell me." He said getting closer to me and backed away but hit the wall man I had no way out on this one. He put he pressed his hands to the wall I hit putting each of them on either side of my head
"Um Alex?"
"What?"
"I need to..um?"
"History class?"
"What?" I asked confused he was way too close.
"The book."
"Oh yeah I'm late see you." I said going under his arm and making my way out.
"For the record pretty boy the kiss? Yeah was just to you know make Trey look bad."
"Yeah I know." He said leaning against the wall and crossing his arms in front of his chest.
"Hey um what was the other reason you told me Trey was a jerk?"
"You'll be late for class maybe next time."
"Jerk!"
"Bye Williams." He said winking at me and leaving. Then I rushed to class.

The last bell rang thank God the halls were crowded and everyone bumped into everyone so I just grabbed my books and headed for my car. Man I hadn't seen Alex since early in the morning. I just went out to my car and when I was close I felt for my keys. They weren't there. Oh God I swear they were on my back pocket. I checked both...nothing. I checked my bag...nothing. Okay April breathe, just retrace steps it was easier cause almost everyone left and when I went to the hall where my locker is it was except for one person. Take a guess. Alex was leaning against my locker.

"Hey Williams missed me much?"
"Arrogant much?"
"Nah just telling the truth."
I rolled my eyes "Um have you seen my keys?"
"No why?"
"I lost them I need to find them."
"Well I need to ask you something."
"Shoot."
"Why'd you kiss me?"
"I told you it was to get Trey back." I said looking around for my keys where the hell could they be?
"No, at your house."

"Oh um I was still a bit drunk from the other night that's all."
Then he pushed me against the lockers and got too close again. "You still drunk now?"
"Alex I really need to find those keys." I said trying not to stare at his lips.
Then he smiled and stepped back "Yeah I know I'm just messing with you. But tell me pleeeease?"
"I told you."
"Oh come on Williams just admit it was because no girl can resist me."
"I'd rather drink out of the toilet or get run over by a truck! Please stop I need to find the keys."
Then he looked at his watch "Oh shit!"
"What you forgot your manicure appointment?"
"No. that was yesterday." He joked. "No but really I need to get to the track my coach will kill me."

"Go!" I said and he went into the bathrooms. Twenty minutes he came out and I was still looking for those damn keys.
"It took you twenty minutes to get dressed into that?" I asked eying him up and down.
"You don't call me pretty boy for nothing."
I rolled my eyes. "Hey tell you what you come with me to the track and then we'll come back to look for your keys."
"I'm not dressed to go to the track."
"Oh come on Williams you have some clothes in your locker don't lie."
"God! Fine but promise me you'll help me." I told him as I got my running clothes out of my locker.

"Promise." So I just went to the bathroom and changed.
"It took you 10 minutes to change into that?" he mocked me.
"Oh shut up!" I said passing by him.
We were at the track . "What do you think about... six laps?" I said.
"You're on." He said smiling and I smiled back.
"You sure?"
"Yeah."
So we went and did the laps surprisingly he did them all but I needed to be better so I ran an extra one. Then I jogged my way to Alex but when I was in front of him I tripped and crashed into him. He put his arms around me automatically. Then he leaned and kissed me lightly I just pulled away

"Alex um."
"You want to know why I told you Trey wasn't good for you?"
"Yeah."
"I wouldn't be able to see you with someone else."
"Oh Alex stop." I said.
"Really I knew he made stupid bets I didn't know he had one about you but I didn't like the guy and when you told me you guys were going on a date I just went crazy."
"Really?" I asked.
"Yeah. April those are not the first lips that I have kissed..."
"Oh God Alex! You have to ruin everything!"

"Shhh let me finish woman! Those may not be the first but I want them to be last ones I kiss." He said as he crashed his lips on mine sparks flew all over I tried to pull away but he just tightened his arms around me and I gave in. Without pulling back he took something out of his pocket and jiggled it in my ear. My keys! I just smiled.
"Where did you find them?"
"I took them out of your pocket when the last bell rang."
"God Alex you're such a jerk!" I said smiling.
"I know." He winked at me and smiled right there I kissed him. I got to admit I love that smile!
