Run The Race

This is about staying true to yourself.
The wait is over, my time has finally come. My heart and mind both agree that it’s for my own good that I continue to run in this race. It doesn’t matter how many times I stumble or fall. My will to win in this race is strong, even if I lose family or friends along the way. I will be okay because you said that your grace would keep me company. I may lose my way, the rain will fall, cold days are ahead. Yes I know but I am determined to give my all in hopes that one day I will win those wings of gold.

This journey of a thousand miles started for me so long ago besides, I have come too far to just give up now, so I will push on, a new me has emerged once I let pride die, I didn’t care about the clock that is constantly reminding me about all the time that was wasted trying to do things my way. The one thing that counts the most is that deep within my spirit I know plus trust that I am a winner. So others can say what they please but this race I run is not for them, it’s all for me.

My soul is anchored beside God's peaceful shore, no longer am I troubled by the fear of the darkness looming above my head or the traps set for me by so many whose eyes I can’t even see. I am not going to stop until my work is done and I hear him say welcome & well done.
