Run - Chapter 1

# 2 to Kidnapped.
Five years ago my brother Drakon, was attacked by a mob of vampires at my wedding. He had killed the vampire kings daughter, Princess Sonya, and my brides best friend Brandy. I had tried to stop the angry mob, but by the time I had gotten to my brother, he had vanished. All the vampires were sent out by the grieving king to kill my brother; I then realized my bride, Akita, had run away. I had run after her, and left my brother to the others. I had searched for her for eight months, to no avail, until one night when I got lucky, and happened to stumbled upon her voice, in a hotel room. What a sweet melody it was. I had climbed into her window when it was quiet, and slipped into her bed to find a surprise. Akita was with child. My child.

I look back on that now, and smile. (Five years ago.)I think, looking down at Akita lying beside me. She was beautiful. I stroked her blonde hair, and kissed her forehead. Then I heard tiny footsteps coming down the hall. We had bought this new house after the baby was born. Akita had loved the old farm-house, and thought it was a perfect place to raise a child. My bedroom door opened and in stepped my little girl, Lillith. She looked just like her mother, with her big blue eyes, and day brightening smile. "Daddy." She said . "Yes Lilli?" I said back. "Can I sleep with you?" she asked. "Come on, angel." I smiled. She climbed up into our bed, and curled up to my chest. She gave me kiss and closed her eyes.

At night fall, Akita and Lillith were out of bed before me. I crawled out of bed later, and walked downstairs. I rubbed my eyes and went to the kitchen, where I grabbed my coffee mug, and fill it with warm blood. "Akita!" I yelled, looking for her. "In here!"she yelled back from the living room. I walked in there to find Vlad, Alexia, and my mother lounging on my couch. My eye widened. I hadn't seen any of them since Lillith turned one. "What are you all doing here?" I asked. My mother got up and walked over to me. She had a grave look in her eyes. This was not a good way to wake up. "It's your brother, Draven. We got a letter from him. He's coming for Lillith."she said. I dropped my mug.
