RROD Fix - What are Your Options?
Most people will have problems with their console at some point and I’m not an exception to the rule. The real problem is the Xbox 360 repair times, which are too long.
Sometimes it just seems that Microsoft takes forever to send the console back. My own issue with them took place more than one year ago, but there are even more recent cases of people having issues with the repair times of Microsoft.
Getting yourself to make that phone call to contact Microsoft can be hard for anyone. It just looks like it takes a very long time and few people have patience for it. The entire process of trying to get an answer from them and to get your console fixed can be a little bit depressing. The price of the repair might be OK for many people, but the problem is the repair time, since you have to stay without your entertainment.
The answer of Microsoft is that it will take two months or more to repair the console and get it back to you. In most cases, that makes people look for alternative solutions, since they can’t even be sure that two months will be sufficient to get the console fixed. The ugly reality is that Microsoft takes up to eight months to fix a console, and that’s from my own experience and that of other players.
When you get your console back the problem is that it might break again after only a few months. Can you imagine the frustration that you would feel if a console would break soon after it was fixed? It could take another eight months and you would have to pay for the repairs this time.

A situation like this would leave only one option for you, and that’s looking for alternative solutions online. The Internet is full with tips and tricks that one can use to fix any type of problem. In my own cases, I ended up buying a new console, though I kept the old one, to tinker with it when I needed to.
The Results
Even though I bought a new console, I also fixed the old one, by using a repair guide that I found online. It was very informative and it provided all the step by step instructions you would need to fix your Xbox 360. The great part is that you have an alternative to Microsoft’s long repair times.
