Royal Darkness ch 4

PLEASEEEEE COMMENT............. BY THE WAY, THE PIC IS SUPPOSE TO BE WHAT JAY LOOKS LIKE...
Royal Darkness ch 4
I was reluctant to get out of bed. I finally got up after about 15 minutes. I walk into the bathroom after I find some comfortable clothes someone had left for me. I change into the grey sweat suit and put my sneakers back on. I walk out of the bathroom and find Rayne sitting on the bed.

"Why are you going hunting with him?"

"Why does it matter?"

"It matters because I don't want him to hurt you."

"Fine. I was just going to ask him why did he agree to marry me. And to see if I can get out of it."

"Oh. What if he says no?"

"Then I’ll make him say no."

"Ok. Just be careful."

"I always am."

"Some of the time."

I give her a hug then go downstairs. I find Jay’den waiting for me on the couch.

"Are you finally ready?" he asks.

"Yea. Are you?"

"Yep. Let’s go."

"Ok. Whose driving?" I ask.

"I am. You have been out for three days and I don’t think you should be driving just yet."

"Fine."

"Do you have any favorite places to hunt at?"

"Yea. The woods out by the school. They have a few mountain lions the closer you get to the border."

"Ok then. I guess we’ll go there then." We get into his car. He drove a 2008 Ford Mustang GT. It was my favorite color too. Red. Which was also the color of blood. Ok. Yeah. Its kinda of weird but who ever said I was normal. It was about a 15 min drive. The whole way there, there was nothing but silence. When we arrive, I didn’t even wait on him to get out of the car. I hop out and start running into the woods. I stopped right before I got to the border. It was only after I stopped that I realize Jay was right behind me. I sighed. I let my senses take over. I felt the cool breeze across my skin. I could hear everything. From the grass swaying to the river flowing steadily about a mile away. I smelt everything. From the pines off of the pine tree next to me to all the animals around. I even smelt Jay. He smelled different than anything I ever smelt before. He smelled kind of sweet like. Well I really don’t know what it was. All I knew was that he smelled good. Then. It hit me. The smell I was waiting on. The smell of my favorite thing to hunt. A mountain lion. I started running in the direction it came from. It took me about a minute to reach it. There it was. My prey. It didn’t know I was there. I climbed high up the tree next to me. It looked asleep. I felt my fangs extend. I took my chance and pounced on it. It wasn’t much of a fight since it didn’t hear me coming and I was way stronger than it. I sunk my fangs in its neck. Right where the vain pulses. I finished up with it. I was still hungry. It was only then that I realized the Jay was right behind me. I hadn’t been aware of him since before I started eating.

"Better?" He asked.

"No. Not really. It’s going to take me a few before I’m fine again."

"Alright. What are you waiting on?"

"You."

"Excuse me?"

"I’m waiting on you to tell me why did you bring me. I mean Rayne could have come with me or Michael or even my dad. So why did you want to take me?" I ask. I wasn’t going to let him get out of this no matter what.

"What? I can’t get to know my future wife."

"No you can’t because we’re not getting married."

"That’s what you say but not what your father says. Besides. You don’t even know me so how do you know you’re not going to like me??"

"Well….I…."I couldn’t find anything to say since he did have a point. He was drop down sexy. I had to admit that.

"See. You can’t even find anything. Can you?"

"Shut up."

He walked right up to me. Then. He did the very last thing I thought he would do. He bent down and kissed me lightly on the lips. At first, I had my mouth closed. Then he used his tongue to open them. For some strange reason, I didn’t resist. I just stood there like an idiot letting him kiss me. And what’s even worse was that I started to kiss him back. I wrapped my arms around his neck and wove my fingers around in his hair. He put his arms around me and pulled me closer to him. Finally, he pulled back and rested his forehead on mine and smiled. I just stood there.

"Well." he said.

"Well what?" I barely manage to say.

"Well. Did you like it of course."

"It wasn’t bad." If I could have blushed I would have. For once I was glad I couldn’t. I didn’t want him to know what I really thought of it.

"But what I don’t understand is why did you do it. I barely know you and yet you kiss me like we have before."

"You don’t remember do you?"

"Remember what?"

"We have known each other since we were kids. YOU were the one who said you wanted to marry me."
